In the picture it shows the saucer as being having a closer diameter to the base of the pot. It's much larger even though the measurements are correct for the top of the pot and the top of the saucer. I had bought these to hang in macrame plant hangers but don't think they will work since the saucers are pretty flimsy (compared to the pots), quite slippery and 1 1/4 " too big for the pot.I do like the extra drainage feature but since the saucer doesn't snap on (my mistake assuming it did) I will put a piece of felt inside the bottom of the pot so the soil doesn't slowly leak out.These pots/saucers would be ideal for bottom watering a plus for those who specialize in African violets (was a favorite once upon a time) but now prefer foliage, ferns and vines. Might update later if they work out okay in plant hangers.

I have an area in front of our house that is so full of old roots from junipers that we can't dig there. These pots were perfect for adding a line of colorful plants without digging or breaking the budget, and are neutral enough to blend in with our mulch. Perfect size for plants that grow to about 18" across, too.

Needed 12 planters for 12 sets of mums. The well - priced two packs of 6 planters worked perfectly. They look great in my yard. The landscape lighting to be added will make the project look sensational.

I am glad I finally decided to buy this pots because it's the perfect height and size for my plants and the quality is strong because when my plants soil dries out the plant will get light and fall over but with this pot no more worrying about my plants falling. I love the fact the design is simple I no longer need to buy different pots to cover the nursery pots I have. I highly recommend this pots for plant lovers.
