I've grown a few crops of these, in both Aerogarden and other brand hydroponic setups. They are easy enough to start and keep happy, and a pretty awesome snack to just snap a leaf off when you walk by them.Unfortunately, as with all seed products, a few will inevitably fail to grow. Maybe out of 12 pods, 1 or 2 will nearly always fail. Statistically, this isn't bad, and I'm still happy with the purchases. The part that irritates me is that they have a "guarantee" when using an Aerogarden machine, but over the past year they have never once replaced any pods or even replied with further steps.

This is my second time using aero garden pods and they work great! The first time was using the herb variety kit but honestly the herbs grew too fast and I wasn’t using them enough in my regular cooking so I decided to try out the romaine lettuce pack. It’s been working great! All 6 seed pods germinated and every time I cut the lettuce, more grow bigger and stronger. I live in a hot climate and can’t grow romaine outside for most of the year, so having the ability to grow it so easily inside is great! Just remember to provide the plant food and refill the base with water when prompted and you can’t go wrong!

One of the pods never sprouted but the other two have been great.

I've been buying the aerogarden kits and their seed pod kits for 4 years and loved it. However, the last 4 seed pod kits that I purchased resulted in many of the pods never growing. I do not know if Aerogarden sent old seed pod kits. I do know they went out of business for about a year. Before that, I never had a problem. But since they went back into business after a year of having closed, their at least half of their seed pods do not grow. I'm very disappointed and do not plan to purchase any of their products again. I do NOT recommend purchasing their seed pod kits. Total waste of money. It's sad because they used to product a good product.

I've had some shipments that good and we had an enjoyable experience growing and eating the lettuce. My most recent purchase did not germinate however and I've had other lettuce packs in which not all the pods germinated. Growing these lettuce packs is fun and the lettuce is good but lettuce is cheaper in the grocery store. You're paying for the growing experience here. Trying to get a refund for non-germination issues is a huge hassle. Don't even go there.
