I normally don't like high waisted things but this is fine
I have a fancy wedding to go to in a few weeks and thought this dress might work. It won't. The fabric, which is modal rayon, is not dressy enough. What this maxi dress will work for is everything else. I normally don't like high waisted things but this is fine. The neckline is a bit plunging but a needle and thread or a pretty pin will fix that. The back is also plunging so if you have to wear a bra you may want to think about a pretty camisole or a bit of stitching in the back. I was worried this dress would not sufficiently cover up my ageing arms, but it is fine. I like the dress better without the belt, but the belt is so nice it can be worn with other things.

more like fluttery yoga pants
Hoo boy is this a gorgeous dress! I ordered two, and I'm thrilled with the dress overall.Things to Know Before You Order- The green dress is definitely a little more aqua/kelley green than the picture shows, not emerald. The blue dress is carbon copy of the photo color.- The picture makes the material look shiny, but this is a stretchy, jersey knit, more like fluttery yoga pants. It does catch the light nicely, though.- This is not an evening dress. With a fancy camisole under it, you could wear it somewhere with a business casual dress code, but it's closer to a maxi than anything dressy.- If you have a bust over, say, a C-cup, this dress is going to be cleavage city. Nothing a camisole or a few tacking stitches with elastic thread can't fix if you don't want that.- Contrary to what another review says, I don't think the dress is that much longer in the front than it is in the back. In fact, I have a lot of junk in the rear and often have trouble with dress hems ending up higher in the back. Not so with this. It sits evenly all the way around. It IS, however, very long. I'm 5'5", and the hem is barely above the floor when I stand up straight. You can fix this with iron or stick-on hemming tape if you don't have a sewing machine.Pros- It's incredibly comfortable and true-to-size.- The colors are rich and beautiful.- The cut, fit, and color blocking have a nice slimming effect- The belt is well-placed and the right width for a plus size. A lot of high-waist, plus-sized dresses/tops will make you look pregnant. This one doesn't.- The arm holes don't dig into your armpits /at all/.- The fabric is breathable and fluttery. It is, as a couple of the low-star reviewers said, on the thin side, but it definitely doesn't feel cheap. When you take a handful of it and squeeze it, you feel substance. You can also tell from how it lays, moves, and catches the light that it's a good quality knit.Cons- The fabric is, as mentioned above, thinner than I would like.- It is pricy for what it is.- You might have to take some pliers to the belt to keep the hooks secure if you'll be doing a lot of moving around, like dancing.- Because of the size and shape of my bust, the area of the dress that's supposed to sit under the bust doesn't fit quite right unless I'm wearing a supportive bra. If you're ample and plump in the bust, be sure to try it on with a couple of bras to see what makes it fit best.Verdict: If you look at the cut and colors and LOVE it, buy it. You're probably going to adore it.For me, it's 100% worth the price so far. If that changes after I've had it a little longer, I'll update the review.

Beautiful colors, flattering but too long
I purchased this dress for a cruise formal night outfit. I'm keeping the dress because it looks really nice on and the colors (teal, blue, black) are stunning. The neckline plunges very low and I need to wear a Spanx camisole/bra with a low back because the back is also low plunged and exposed. I'm 5'3 and this dress was 3" too long. I'm taking it to get altered, so need to consider that in the cost of the dress unless you are 5'6" or taller.

It is very long so if you are 5'10 it'll be perfect. Not so if you are 5'2
Fits to size. I am keeping this dress because my husband really likes it on me. It is very long so if you are 5'10 it'll be perfect. Not so if you are 5'2. Lots of hemming to do. I am a large lady so I think that is why the belt stays buckled for me. I can see where others who reviewed this dress have had issues because the hooks on the belt aren't much of hooks. The belt is pretty and heavy and really dresses the dress up though.

Beautiful dress that fits perfectly!
I purchased it in blue for a wedding this fall and can't wait to wear it!! Very light weight, looks just like it's pictured and the soft cottony fabric feels great on. I went with the measurements as others suggested and it's just right. I thought it's a bit much on the cleavage front for me, but after trying it on the fabric fit snugly enough that the girls won't be making an unwanted appearance!! The only complaint I have is that the belt doesn't fasten very securely and started to come undone while I was modeling it for a friend and my husband, fortunately it does come off so a replacement belt can be used if I find the right look! Absolutely buy this dress, it's a keeper for sure!!!**Update** I wore my dress last night (minutes the belt, I just couldn't get it to stay on!) to the wedding and was so pleased with the fit, the feel and the look of it! So light weight and comfortable to wear all evening and I got so many compliments on it! I'm very self conscious about my plus size figure but in this dress I felt wonderful ... A little glamorous, a little sexy and a little bit beautiful truth be told! HIGHLY recommended!!!

Beautiful!
Beautiful dress. Very slimming for a plus size woman. The cut is more of an empire waist, and even though I carry a lot of my weight in my middle, I don’t look pregnant. However, the waist has no give at all, so measure yourself carefully - don’t just assume your standard dress size. The neckline is VERY low, I’ll need to wear a camisole under it for my own comfort, but that doesn’t detract from the overall design. The hemline is low (I’m 5’5”), and it would barely brush the ground if I was wearing 2” heels. Due to the stretchy fabric I’ll need to get it professionally hemmed, but it’s definitely worth it. It says dry clean only, but it’s polyester and spandex, and I have others like it that I wash on the delicate cycle without any issue. The belt is useless, the clasps don’t even curve over. So if you have your heart set on a belt, you’ll need to buy one. It still looks great without the belt. Definitely worth the price. I’m glad I took the chance on this dress!
