Remarkable Summer Sleeping Bag
I had a back surgery a while back that left me worse off than before. Now I need to sleep on the floor as the mattress my wife will not give up is too soft for me. So my bed until my back recovers is a 1" self inflatable mat with a sleeping bag on top. My previous sleeping bag was not long enough or wide enough. The inside of it was a flannel like material which was extremely hot for sleeping in the house. That is why I purchased the Venture 4th XXL sleeping bag. Here are my thoughts. The Good: This bag is more than long enough for me. I am 6' but it could easily accommodate a taller person. The bag is wide. I can literally spread my legs fully (think jumping jacks or snow angel). This was a welcome surprise. The inner material is like a hotel comforter or a satin like finish, cool to the touch, but able to warm. We keep our thermostat at 69 degrees at night and being zipped up in the bag I was comfortably warm and was never hot. I also sleep with a half moon bolster type pillow between my knees or under my knees and the bag accommodated this with no sacrifices. Incredible! Also when folded and placed in its case it is very compact and extremely light. The bad: The hood feature is quirky. It has a draw string through the hood and into the bag body crumpling the body of the bag and the hood together limiting the nice width around my shoulders. I find this very uncomfortable and nearly unworkable. I would prefer the draw string just be in the hood like a hoodie on a sweat shirt. Also I saw a video when purchasing this bag about the clean zipper. The zipper teeth are relatively small and do get caught on the inner lining like every sleeping bag in the world. I had a devil of a time zipping this thing up from inside the bag. It would get caught every 5 or 6 inches or so.The Ugly: Nothing this bag meets all my needs. I don't need the hood and the zipper is par for the course.Summary: I cannot speak to durability. But for what you get for the money it is well worth it and fits my application to a tee. My review would have been 5 stars except for the hood and zipper.A quick update on 8/6/2024. I have been sleeping in this bag now for 21 straight days. I changed my 4 star rating to 5 stars. Regarding the zipper if you zip from outside the bag I have nearly no issues and certainly less than my previous sleeping bag. It is more an issue of angle when zipping. I now agree with previous statements about a clean zipper. Regarding the hood, my wife had the air extra low, and I am bald, so I used the hood I thought I had no use for. It kept my head warm and was not difficult to use. Finally, I did not realize that this bag had a lifetime warranty. I was contacted by the owner of the company email telling me of the warranty and thanks for buying the bag. Where on God's green earth do you get owners telling people they got a lifetime warranty? It may have been a one off but Venture4th has my business for life.

Great Bag
I read reviews before I bought this. The reviews were spot on. Bag is very roomy. I'm 6'1" 250 lbs and I can stretch my legs out and roll over no problem. You almost forget you're in a sleeping bag. The inside lining is soft like a blanket. I slept like a baby first night using this. Definitely worth the money and a great buy.

Padding in pillow area bunched up
It seems like a nice, lightweight, compact sleeping bag. But the batting that is in the bunched up when I washed it according to the instructions. Also, the batting in the corner near the zipper bunched up. So that’s a bit annoying. I’ve included a photo trying to showcase the bunched up batting. You can see the lump.Update: 6/25/2023:The Seller reached out and made it right. I would purchase from this company again, for that reason!

Comfortable, roomy
I bought this sleeping bag to fill an "in between" spot in my portfolio of sleeping bags. I needed something with a bit more insulation than the ultra light weight bags. I also need a big bay that I can roll around in and not get "trapped" in.This bag is roomy, comfortable, and had the right amount of insulation (I used it 4 nights in a row where the dawn temperatures got down to about 55F). It also packed relatively compact and the stuff bag is well desigend with the four cinching straps to help compress it even further.

Great bag!
Light weight but the keep you warm. Super easy to get back in the storage bag without working up a sweat shoving it in. Such an upgrade from our old, thick Coleman bags that were huge and tied with little strings. I also like the extra large size and long length so I can roll around in it and not be squished in like a mummy.

Great for a big guy getting into hiking
This bag is great for the money.Sizing: Im 6 foot and about 290 pounds. The reason thats important is when I say I was comfortable and could sleep on my side I felt no restrictions.Carrying: It comes in a nice bag but I used extra velcro straps to compress it more allowing me to carry it in my back pack. Its isn't the most compact bag but you trade that for extra bag space. After my first hike with it I have no regrets.Quality: The bag altogether feels well built with the only down side is the zipper feels a little cheap but not enough for me to return.Temperature: It got really cold. Felt like low 30's. The bag kept me alive but I wasn't warm. It was nice I was able to cover my head with the extra material to trap in more heat but I was still cold. I should have worn more layers, lessons learned. I recently bought a compact sleeping bag liner that I think will help also. Thinking this bag alone would be semi comfortable at 45F.Overall happy with the bag and would buy it again.

Light and comfy
I haven't used it yet for camping, but I did use it for 2 nights on my bed. Early April with a cross breeze through my bedroom. I was warm but not sweaty. Easy to stuff into the bag and it's not heavy. Zipper moves easily. This is a nice replacement for my 1960s Coleman sleeping bag.

50 degree sleeping bag - Would not use for its rated temperature.
I own many sleeping bags for varying temperatures and used this in 40-50 degree weather and I would say that is about the coldest I would push it. I am generally a very hot sleeper and being cold is not common for me but this was not up to par. Material l, weight, construction all seem good so far though.

Comfy
Nice bag with room for two. The Velcro at the zipper top is excellent option to stop zipper from opening in the night.
