Fits the 8oz Goodcook French Press well!
I was skeptical of purchasing this due to seeing other reviews mentioning it being the wrong size for the French press, but no one mentions dither one that we have, which is the Goodcook 8oz French press. I figured I’d get this since it seemed to be a good deal for the quantity. Today was the first day we made French press coffee after purchasing these, and this was better than even the original! We had no coffee grounds in our mugs whatsoever, which never happened before. It was sturdy and a really nice tight seal without being too big, so I was pleasantly surprised.

Durable French press screen's
6 French press coffee screens. I double up on my screens cause I use an expresso ground. I've found if you soak the screens in dawn and vinegar with hot water the screens last longer. They work well.

Good fit for bodum
Fit my bodum press just fine. Good replacement for the original bodum screens.

Quite a bit thinner than original, but work fine . .
I suppose in a laboratory environment, something like these could be iffy . . but this is just coffee grinds, so more than adequate, and at a 5th the price who cares, lifetime supply, even used once or twice a day . . . .

The last French press you’ll ever own
This is the best French press I’ve ever owned. The stainless steel keeps my coffee hotter than my old one which was borosilicate glass. It comes with extra filters too, which I love! I’m confident this will be the last French press I’ll ever buy, unless my daughter steals it, which is a distinct possibility since she’s a “java junkie” just like me.😁

Works great
Thought replacing filter in my French press would turn into a project, and it would be easier just to buy a new one. I was totally wrong. Most units uses a 4 inch screen. The diameter of the press is a little under 4 inches so that the screen fits snugly. Just unscrew the filter assembly, clean all the parts you couldn't get to, put a new screen in when you reassemble, and your French press is like brand new. Coffee is great again. As inexpensive as these are, and so simple to replace, it should probably be done fairly often.I didn't feel any oil or residue on mine, but washed it in hot soapy water and rinsed well just on general principles. Suggest you do the same.

Works
These are thicker then the ones that came with our french press karaffe. The screens seem to be as effective as the originals at straining out the grounds. However one can not escape some amount of fine sludge unless you use a paper coffee filter. We have tried every way of making a morning cup of joe and this is the best compromise for speed in prep and cleaning efficiency that we have found so far. A bit of sludge is an acceptable price to pay for a better tasting cup.The edges of these screens don't seem to be as prone to fraying as the last set, but time will tell. The mesh itself seems of a higher quality. It looks like a sturdier weave. It's almost like the old ones were just a fine window screen mesh but these have a hounds tooth pattern. This seems to make them more dimensionally stable. In other words they resisted being stretched out of round.

Used for a percolator
Used this in my percolator to help with the coffee grinds getting into my coffee. It has helped, I still get some ground because we make 12 cups but when I make less cups it works so much better
