Swagtron T580 App-Enabled Bluetooth Hoverboard with Speaker, Smart Self-Balancing Wheel

This hover board seemed like a good idea at the time and my grandson was thrilled to receive it for his 12th birthday. However, after about two months of riding it occasionally after school (mainly inside the house) the left wheel started freezing up while he was riding it, and throwing him off. It then beeps incessantly and a dim red light on top of the board by the left footpad flashes until you turn it off. I sent it back to Swagtron as part of their 1yr warranty (they provided prepaid shipping label, and shipped it back at no cost).I received it back in the mail approx. 1 week later with no explanation of what they fixed or did to it. My grandson hopped on the board, rode it for about 5 minutes, and it did the same thing, again and again. I emailed Swagtron and they sent back instructions for "if the board is pulling to the left or right" and suggested I calibrate the board, and that it could have to be done again and again to finally fix the problem. Well, that is not the problem in the first place, and secondly STILL no explanation as to what they did to fix it!I had purchase a Square Trade Warranty with this as advertised when I bought it, well guess what... THEY DONT COVER HOVER BOARDS! Why they advertise the warranty when you purchase the board and then not cover it is beyond me. Sneaky marketing ploy.So, I am STILL in conversation with Swagtron as to getting it fixed, but seriously WHAT A HEADACHE!

Kid loves this thing and works great for her. She is 12 and picked up quickly. It tried to kill me so I went back to the porch lol.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a "dual-glider" style hoverboard with smartphone companion APP (connected through Bluetooth). There is a built-in speaker near the bottom of the hoverboard so I can enjoy music while riding on the hoverboard. The aluminum rimmed wheel size is 6.5" and the tire is made of hard rubber. This hoverboard features "smart self-balancing" which improves stabilization utilizing the built-in sensors (very handy feature when getting on/off the hoverboard). The max speed is 7.5mph and it can go up to 8 miles per charge. Charging time is roughly 90-100 mins with the included charger.I like that I can check a lot of information in the companion APP once it's paired. I can check real-time speed, current battery, and even adjust modes. There are 2 modes available - standard and advance modes, where standard modes have preset limit on settings such as max speed so it's safer for new users. The speaker is decent and there is enough bass. I can hear the music even in a noisy environments. Overall the riding experience is quite smooth and it's easy to maneuver the hoverboard. I have tried this hoverboard on several different road conditions, including concrete, sidewalks, grass fields, uphills ,and paved road, and it all worked without a problem.

After just a night of riding, the board now has a shaking or grinding noise is the best way to describe it. Feels like you are riding it over gravel. When you start going forward or backward it has an audible shake or grinding sound. Board was a present from "Santa" so a bit hard to explain to my child. Called the company. When you choose to talk to an agent, it just defaults to a message about filling out an RMA. Decided to do the chat feature. Same answer, fill out an RMA, not even an attempt at troubleshooting. The first couple hours of riding was nice then... FYI I did all the troubleshooting I found on youtube and what not such as calibration. Nothing worked.

This was a great hoverboard. The best one we tried. Lots of fun. . We took such great care of this toy. Only rode it inside. Then 32 days later the charger pin broke off! Can't replace, can't return! So much $$$ wasted!!! Feels like I've been scammed.

I have had this unit for only a couple weeks and a pin in the three pin charging socket bent upon taking the charger out (carefully) and then today fell off completely and now the unit doesn't charge.

We already have this same model from best buy so we decided to order another one for our other daughter. We ordered on here and finally got it. Me and my daughter excitedly opened and charged it. Turned it on and does not move. Spent hours on the phone with SWAGTRON only to be told it needs to be replaced. Sent that one back and ordered another one, exact same product. Again we waited and finally got it, charged it and turned it on... this one moves but shakes so bad we can't ride it. Yes, we tried recalibrating and resetting and nothing works! Very angry mommy and very disappointed kids!

All that money for the damn thing not to work! Damn wheels locked up and that was the end of it. Keep in mind my son only weighs about 60lbs and I have hardwood floors everywhere. I called the # on the box and it just rings and rings.... I'm so upset. He's played with the damn thing twice and now it's broken
