Works just fine for the price.
This did the job for the price. The whole unit was not over heavy, so I was able to store in the basement and bring it up when needed. I bought a really good one before, but it was to heavy to carry around. For my use I did not need a high end one.

Good quality for the price
I bought this to cut three things, mainly. Here they are and how it does:- Bread: I needed to make nice thin slices of soft bread-machine bread. This makes nice thin slices with the serrated blade. It's worth the money just for this. Consistent thin slices of bread.- Red onion: I like thinly sliced red onion on my sandwiches, made with consistently thin slices of bread. The serrated blade does great with this. I can virtually shave off onion, or get full yet thin slices.- Cheese: We often need sliced mozzarella. So we threw a chunk of low-moisture fresh mozz at it and the smooth blade. The blade left a gray residue on the first few slices, so I needed to have washed it better. And as I came to the end of a slice, the motor would labor a little due to the drag of the chunk against the center of the blade. Still, it sliced up the whole chunk no problem, into nice even slices. A harder cheese would likely not drag as much. A softer cheese simply isn't something to use in a deli slicer. So this is basically a worst-case scenario for it, and it passed just fine. So, no real complaints. The blade turns more slowly then I expected, but it sure does the job. It's as easy to clean as such a machine can be. There aren't any hidden areas to trap food. The suction cup feet aren't as solid as I would like. They don't disconnect from the counter, but the unit can slide around if you push it too hard. But you sorta have to be trying to make it move. Bigger feet might have been better.I can't speak to the longevity it will show as I haven't had this long, but it feels solidly built.Overall, I'm delighted with this.

Good slicer for home use
This is a good light duty slicer. I've used it a handful of times now for deli meats to shave beef(sukiyaki cut) to slice beef for jerky and to this slice vegetables.Pros:It is compact and light weightThe suction cup feet help keep the unit from sliding around while in use.It has plenty of power to slice most things. It hasn't bogged down on me, even when cutting frozen meat.Cut thickness is consistent from top to bottom of the blade. It is fairly easy to cleanCons:Being compact means that larger meats will need to be broken down to more manageable sizes before slicing. Don't expect to cut a full slab of bacon or a whole brisket. The marks to indicate cut thickness aren't accurate. On mine the 2mm mark brings the guide flush with the blade. Not a big deal, but worth noting. It is easy enough to adjust it to your desired thickness. The tray sits pretty far from the guide plate and blade. You will end up with an end piece about 3/8" thick. The pusher (or whatever it's called)fits a little too snug on the tray. It is difficult to slide and I normally end up taking it off out of frustration. Safety devices shouldn't be difficult to use. This is the only reason I am knocking a star off my rating. I always end up using something else so I don't get my fingers too close to the blade.Overall it isn't a bad slicer for the price as long as you are willing to work within the size constraints. I you want to cut full sized strips of bacon then this unit isn't right for you.

Very easy to use!
I am very pleased with the Anescva food slicer. I have cooked my own roast beef before but it was hard to get thin and uniform slices. I went on YouTube to see a video on how to use it and it was a breeze. Then I used it to slice cheese and it was a breeze. All of the slices of cheese were very uniform. I’m not sure where I read this, but it is easier the slice meat if you put the meat in the freezer for awhile (I put it in the freezer for about 15-20 minutes).Cleanup was a breeze and only took less than 5 minutes. I would suggest using a toothbrush to clean out the small amount of residue that was hard to access. BTW: It was a 2 pound roast and I cut it in half. This is not a commercial food slicer and it is much easier cutting smaller pieces (like a pound).

Good frisbee, then not.
Excellent slicer. Actually slicer is not so good, but blade make good frisbee. 4 stars. Would rate 5 stars, but had to sharpen factory sharpen blade to stick in tree.Last frisbee you ever buy! Probably because you maim 3 finger on dull factory sharpen blade attempting to throw into tree. Now rate 3 stars.

Good Price Point for this quality product
I bought this slicer primarily to slice meat for making jerky and I am pleased with the way it handles the job. I had an older mostly plastic slicer before and there is no comparison to this one with its all metal body. It is sturdy and very important to me, easy to clean. While I have only used the serrated blade to this point, it is nice to have the extra non serrated blade, a bonus feature which most companies do not offer. I had a little trouble figuring out how to lock the blade into the machine as the directions provided with the machine are a little sketchy on this point but once I figured it out, I could not be more pleased with the way the machine operates. Being able to make consistent slices is a key element in making jerky so that it all dehydrates at the same rate and this machine filled the bill with its fully adjustable depth guide. I like the fact that the depth guide adjustment knob is firm and does not slip so that your cuts are consistent. The suction cup feet are a nice feature which makes the machine very stable when in use. We make our own bread several times a week and I am looking forward to consistent cuts there too. By the way, the jerky is delicious! Thanks ANESCRA.
