LD Products Compatible Ink Cartridge Replacement for Canon PGI5Bk 0628B002 for use in Printers iP3300, iP5200, iP4200, iP4500, iP4300 (Pigment Black)

I was tired of paying full price for Canon brand ink for my Pixma MX850. I saw a lot of the really cheap cartridges had bad reviews with leaking and other issues and did not want to risk messing up my printer or spilling ink all over. These LD cartridges seemed to have better reviews and were still at a great price so I decided to try them out. So far, it's working great, with only one small issue where sometimes I have to re-seat the cartridge for the light to come on indicating that the cartridge is detected. Other than that, I still get updates on the ink level because of the chip and the printing has been fine. I usually do a test pattern after I install a new cartridge and I haven't had a need to do any type of cleaning or adjustments. I'm also careful not to squeeze the sides and haven't had any issue with any ink leaking. I'm going to continue buying these as the replacements for my printer ink.

This ink cartridge's main benefits are the low price, the included chip, and the decent quality ink.But there's a price to pay for not using the much more expensive Canon ink cartridge, and that is the fact that many of the ink cartridges leak when opened, including this black model. A friend of mine and I have both been using these cartridges, and it seems as though every other one leaks immediately after popping off the orange cap. With paper towels and gloves nearby, we're able to insert the cartridges without much of a problem, but the ink can go everywhere if you're not careful.For the price, these cartridges are just fine. I just wish they didn't leak.

Sometimes they work fine, and sometimes they don't. Usually I get a"print cartridge problem" (j4580 HP printer) message when they don't work.Cleaning the contacts and restarting the printer ususally solves the problem,but not always.Right now I am having a problem with the tri-color cartridge."Print Cartridge Problem" message. Cleaning the contacts did notwork, so I put in a new LD Cartridge, it doesn't work either.

This ink cartridge is compatible with my old iP3500. Though the LED indicator warning for replacement not work, it does print. Comparing to the price of the original brand cartridge, this is worth considering.

Much cheaper than a store-bought replacement cartridge when I can find it - lately I've been having difficulty finding replacements for my old Canon iP4500 printer. It fit right in and worked from the start. Hopefully it will last a long enough time.

To the point..these LD Ink cartridges seem to work JUST as well as the original Canon PGI-5BK ones I have always bought. Only thing that may reduce this review by 1/2 start is the LDs don't light up red like the OEMS do. That said, if indeed the chip works and will tell the real level of ink left...having a cartridge that can light up red or blink red when low or out of ink won't matter. As to print quality I can't see ANY difference between these LD inks and the original Canon ink. I only know I saved a bunch of money and plan to buy some color LD ink when my other Canon color cartridges will need to be replaced. Overall at this point I'd say LD is a great choice for at least Black vs Canon Black..

I realize the low cost of this printer cartridge is appealing but I would definitely avoid this product. Upon removing the cap to install the cartridge, ink leaked all over my hands (still in the process of trying to get it all off), and ruined my clothes. This cartridge went straight into the trash.

So far I have used 4-5 of these cartridges, and will continue to use them.None have leaked when installing them, and the printing quality is good when printing text and charts on standard paper.No experience using them for printing photos on photopaper.Bottom line you can save lots of $$ using these cartridges for your everyday printing needs.
