Near 9yr Old Becomes Surfer Using this Board 🏄♂️
Bought this surf board for our near 9 yr old grandson who weight 65 or so lbs. He is around 45” in height. He has been body boarding up to this point in the surf and truly enjoys the beach. He recently watched surfers on Galveston Island and said he was ready to make that step.So we bought this board along with a better ankle leash as others did also. On its arrival he was over joyed and put on the fins and leash with a small amount of help. The next morning we went to the beach and headed out into the water. First try about 30 yards from shore he laid on his stomach to get accustomed to the balance. I lined him up with a wave and gave him a push which he rode all the way to shore.2nd try I lined him up with a wave gave him a push he started on his stomach and raise up on knees and made it almost to the shore.3rd try I we did all the same and he made it to standing up and went about 10 yards before falling into the water.4th try all the same again but this time he made it to shore standing up, jumped off and did a happy dance. For the next 2 hours he had multiple results but stayed with it and having 4 complete rides to shore and several near shore rides, plus multiple falls. But had one those greatest times of his life.He says he is now a true surfer for life. The board is a foam board with a nice covering that’s a beauty and looks sweet (according to him). It has a nice slick bottom with the 3 fins. So, if you are questioning buying one for a kid 100 lbs and less and they really want to give surfing a try. Our grandson loves it and says it is well worth it.His Nonnie and I already have several pics and videos of his enjoyment 🏄♂️😁We are heading out again for his 3rd outing of fun. We hope y’all get as much enjoyment as we are.We also we’re not paid by or affiliated with this company.

Great for a new surfer
This was perfect for our grandsons visit to the East Coast as he is just learning to surf! He loved the colors..we had to buy a different ankle strap, the one included was too flimsy

Beautiful BUT defective😒
This starter surfboard looked like it would be ok for my gir(l*11 yrs old) unfortunately, she took it to the pool and lasted about 15 min before it started peeling. I can't imagine taking it to the beach. Would not last. I do have to say it is a beautiful color! Jus too bad it was not as sturdy as we expected.

I'm not sure it's good for beginners
I'm used to do Stand Up Paddling, and even took my SUP to the beach to go against waves. Now when trying this board, it is VERY slippery!! Like, really... it's a fight just to get on it! Now.. being a soft board, you shouldn't really wax it.. so this was unexpected. I have now bought some traction pads to add to the board. Let's hope it get's better next time.

Great value beginner boards…
We wanted an inexpensive surfboard for our youngest kids and these have been great. We have traveled all over SoCal and Mexico with them and they have held up well. Light enough for the kids to carry themselves but still fairly sturdy. It’s a great value board for learners.

Buyer beware - You get what you pay for
I like the price, but that's about it. I believe that this item is flawed by design, using inferior parts, and of poor quality. In essence, you get what you pay for, so don't expect a great board for $150. For example, the plastic piece that holds the leash in is very flimsy and cheap, and actually broke within the first two days of use. Also, as the instructions say, don't leave it face up in the sunlight for very long, otherwise the foam will temporarily bubble up and become uncomfortable and unsightly. The leash is very flimsy as well. I wish I had just gone to a place that sells used boards. Live and learn.
