It is garbage, do not waste your money
Gave this 3 tries as my son really wanted it to work. The first was store bought and 3 of the 4 sides couldn't hold air. The next one was bought on Amazon direct from the supplier and it arrived with the box deeply slashed, cutting through the rink. The exterior shipping box wasn't damaged, so they put an obviously damaged product in a box and shipped it to me. A new item was sent and it leaked air on one side. I patched it, set it up outside in the freezing cold, only to have another side start leaking air. It is garbage, do not waste your money.

Perfect for hockey shooting practice & puck handling
We gave this to our son for Christmas with the warning that he might not get to use it if it never got below freezing (Oklahoma). Lucky for him, we had a good stretch of cold and I was able to build up the ice layers over 3 days. He's been skating on it NONSTOP for the last 3 days & it's the perfect size for him to practice shooting and quick stops. It has held up well and was easy to set up. Definitely worth it for my 24/7-hockey-lovin' kid!

Total letdown
Took a chance since it was inexpensive. Item arrived quickly, but never got any use out of it. After (carefully) inflating the sides, we filled 1/3 with water to freeze overnight. Found in the morning that one side had a leak, so nearly all of the water spilled out, flattening the side and icing over. After breaking up the ice that formed, we tried to find the leak...which was impossible, rendering the included patches useless. So now we have a frozen waste of plastic waiting to thaw and be thrown away. Not to mention the exorbitant water bill for the water that is now coating our lawn.

Tough materials, worked for my non-traditional purposes
In full disclosure, I did not use this product as an ice rink, so I'm writing based on its durability in materials. I needed an extra thick tarp to go under a tent to be used on top of sharp gravel campsite. We had stayed at this location previously and shredded through two heavy duty tarps and a tent floor on top of them. I hoped this might be thick enough to hold up better, as it is obviously designed to sit on top of ground with a heavy layer of ice on top. I wasn't disappointed. The plastic/vinyl/whatever this is called is quite durable and held up despite significant stomping and repeated sliding of heavy items, including a full cooler and some heavy plastic laundry baskets filled with supplies across a fragile nylon tent floor. When you consider no one was very careful in this process and the problems similar behavior had caused in the past, this was more of an accomplishment than it might seem. The product didn't leak in the rain, either, which also testifies to its strength against even minor tears on the rocks. The inflatable sides were unnecessary for me and therefore unused, but after reading the actual instructions calling for filling this in layers and seeing the issues other reviewers seemed to be facing, I wonder if they had overfilled the edges or tried to fill all at once. I had to go all the way around the walls to tuck them under, and while I didn't actually inflate them, the seams seemed solid and well sealed. I was impressed. If we ever get enough ice here in Georgia to try it, I might actually give hockey a chance!

walls too low
GREAT IDEA!!! Ripping was not my issue but water leaked out the sides so I could not fill it high enough. I think the big problem are the walls are not tall enough (I filled with water not air) to hold enough water to make the ice thick enough. My 6 year old went on it once and it started to crack and that was the only day we could get the ice thick enough on ONE side and let it freeze for several nights. My temperatures are below zero and the one side was as thick as it could possibly get but no luck keeping water in it nor is it possible to get it high enough for it not to crack.

Cheaply constructed
Cheaply made. Took a long time to fill up. Side barriers were insignificant.

you get what you pay for
Was hoping the reviews were wrong, but they were not. Filled it up, and found the bottom was leaking. Formed some ice on top, but had an air void under it. Added more water, formed more ice, which punctured one side bumper. Water leaked out from the bottom and side. Wish it worked out. It did not.

Horrible..don't buy.
Horrible....don't buy. The sides don't inflate, and if they do they won't last. You'll be lucky if you can use this for one full season without it ripping. Better to buy a tarp and make one yourself.

Dont waste your money
Purchased this for my son the goalie. The frame got punctured while filling with water. Might be ok for small kids learning to stand up on skates.
