After receiving the snap swivels, I decided to test each one individually. Half of the swivels were seized up. I separated the good ones from the bad, and soaked the seized and grinding swivels in 3-in-One oil. I heated the oil, and allowed them to soak overnight.I drained the oil and placed the swivels on paper kitchen towels. All of the soaked swivels then moved smoothly, but now they smell like 3-in-One oil. The black nickel coating also came off, but they now moved smoothly.I sprayed those swivels with an oder eliminating product and rinsed them under running water. I can no longer smell the oil, but the fish just might.I then randomly tested the strength of the swivels. I tied heavy monofilament to the swivel, and then tried to break the swivel or the mono by pulling it apart. Neither would give way under the pressure. I can only hope that this product doesn't fail in the field.Apparently, there are problems with quality control in the making of these swivels. Hopefully, the seller will resolve these issues with the manufacturer.One of my reasons for giving these swivels a try is because the description says that "All Ball Bearing Swivels had been through strict spinning test before going out of the factory."There are good and negative reviews. My experience was less than satisfactory. If you decide to buy them, I hope you have a better experience.

Quality is questionable on these snap swivels.I bought 2 packs of the#4+4| LB.test 100lb | Total Length: 1-7/8"(49mm)20 per package (supposedly)One package had 19. that's a 5% loss to begin with.2 of the 19 did not rotate smoothly. Rotation was rough with some grinding of internal parts.1 of the 19 would not rotate around completely. It would rotate about 1/3 around and jam to a stop.20% loss from 1st pack.One package had 20 as expected.2 pieces did not rotate smoothly.10% loss from 2nd pack.I'll try some of these I the water as see if they hold up.I would not like to lose a nice fish to a broken snap swivel and these are suspect already.

When I pulled these out I did a double take. I bought the second biggest size and they are massive and appear to be super high quality. I hook monster tuna fishing in Hawaii as well as other really big fish so top quality is essential. I can't get by on crappy gear. I will be putting these on deepwater trolling planers so the pressure on them will be massive.. Its usually pushing 30 to 40 pounds of pressure when Im at 9 knots. Add in a big fish strike and these have to hold up to the pressure. I believe they will. I use 100-pound line on a Shimano 80. I will see how these hold up but for a dollar each? The local store would be charging me 7 to 10 dollars each! Thats per piece! Im a happy customer and will update here if these rust out or blow out in a strike. Usually I get cheap china junk online but these appear to be super smooth ball bearings snap swivels. -Nick

The swivel is much bigger than expected and the snap is too loose. I was mysteriously losing lures haphazardly while trolling. I would get back the swivel but the wire & lure were missing. I first thought it was the wire breaking, but on further inspection, it seems the wire somehow works its way & pulls off the snap. I lost 4 lures over about 8 trips. I now know why they are much cheaper. The tensile strength of it seems to be good but the ring starts to rust after a while.

Dr fish swivels--I'll give the benefit of the doubt to the swivels as they look like they'll work. I mean what can go wrong, right? But, my beef is with the time it took to receive them--they were mailed to Amazon from China--my guess. By the time they got here, all the fish had move on to the next state. Would I buy them again? Nope. Cabela's or Bass carry similar but a bit more expensive but to save time I'll buy them here. Again, the quality appears to be there but I personally don't want to wait weeks for them.

What i love the most is these will fit through the eye of my fishing rods with no need to remove from the line.8' - offshore angler12' - offshore angler12' - big water ugly stickIts beautiful not having to take my rods apart and keep the line connected at the eye so i dont have to re-tie later. I can reel this all the way down. I love it. One size higher though and i dont think they would fit.Also, i have yet to ever have these give out on me. I have never reeled this back in and had it bent or open

THEY FAIL! complete piece of c&@$! Hooked a fish swivel broke, hooked another fish swivel broke again, hooked a third and the piece of c&@$ broke again! Grabbed the bag and threw it in the garbage! Obviously never buying again

There seems to be much concern about connectors to attach your kite lines to your Kites. Kite flyers use these connections to quickly attach and detach their kites from their various lines which are rated for different test strengths, depending on the wind. It's easy to miscalculate the strength of the wind, especially on gusty days. Some of the non ball bearing connections broke and it caused expensive kites to go flying off, sometimes not being able to be recovered. These connections are made with ball bearings which are more secure and less likely to break or split apart when the winds pick up. Although more expensive than regular connections, it is well worth the price as opposed to losing your several hundred dollar kite with possibly several hundred dollars in attachments because of a few dollar connection. I'm updating all of my connections so I have the best connections available
