Easy to install through the shifter boot opening without having to remove the console. I looped a piece of thread through it while installing in case I dropped it into the abyss. It fits snugly in the lever but still needs a bit of adhesive to secure it. I used E6000 but clear silicone would be fine too.Every older Audi TT will eventually need this. The OEM bushing gets soft and disintegrates after 20 years or so.My 2001 Audi TT roadster shifts like new again.

My car, 2003 turbo beetle , would not shift in to 1st. (the car has a manual shift ) I ordered this part to replace the plastic piece that had broken off my car. Ot fit prefect. The piece holds the shifting mechanism in line. I can now shift the transmission without any problems.

purchased and installed this bushing. it can be installed 2 different ways- one way it will simply fall out after a few shifts, not an option. the second way is to removed the lever and install the bushing, however this does not work either. the shift bushing fell apart after 2 days of driving- the bushing chipped, cracked and fell apart now requiring another repair.this bushing is very obviously not going to work- the seller also knows this. this 'repair' is criminal and is very much worth contacting the states attorney generals office to file a complaint. this seller is intentionally selling cheap parts knowing they will not work, and fail quickly.

I liked the price. Used it on a VW beetle shifter. It works very well.

Perfect fit. Just used a pair of channel locks to pop it in. Easy and took maybe 5 mins.
