not sure but it broke. buy the paladin one . cost a little more but its way better made trust me .

Does the punch down tool come with the ability to punch down without cutting the wire?

Can this cut cat7 wires?

Cat7 is not an official TIA standard, so there can be variation between different brands of cable. That being said, this tool may not be able to cut it out of the box. I had to do some hand sharpening before mine would reliably cut Cat6.

Great tool for people that pull cable for networks. A must have in the bag. It’s easy to use and does what it’s supposed to. It’s Klein so it’s a quality product. I use these for work.

A great no-nonsense quality tool!

After my older Klein punch down tool was stolen, I had to buy another one.The older one was about at least 5yr old, worked perfect. But then all my Klein tools do, and I am super thankful for that. I appreciate a well designed, well executed tool that make my job easier. It’s nice to know that it will always do the job.I use it for a Cat 5e and Cat 6 keystones installs. Makes it very easy and predictable- a well appreciated quality.If you are in this line of work, you will appreciate the tool. It will last as long as your carrier probably.Highly recommended is an understatement.

Decent tool for a decent price.

Works as expected except for one thing... The blade holder in the back doesn't really retain the blade very well. If you drop the tool, the blade may slide out of the storage area. I've had (and lost) several other brands through the years, and this is the first that didn't really hold the blade in storage. I guess this is what we get for the lower price, these tools used to be over 2x to 3x as much just a few years ago.Only other thing I wish was a lower power impact, punching wall jacks could use a slightly lower impact. I have never needed to use the high impact for anything in the last 30 years. Maybe I need to change the spring inside.
