Love it to pieces. Will buy it again and again.
Love it to pieces. Will buy 10 more if I had that many hands. This is a great gift idea for people that live in rainy areas. And it comes in tons of colors. Large enough canopy for the compact size. The activation button is a tad sensitive so open away from people. You need a little strength to close the umbrella when you are done. Price on Amazon is reasonable as this will take the place of two regularly priced compact umbrellas.Note the handle is small so people with very large hands will find this compact umbrella uncomfortable.

"WindMaster" is a stretch
I read the reviews of all of the "unbreakable" umbrellas. This one seemed the most legit. I've been carrying it in my work bag since it arrived and finally used it the other day - and it broke on the first use. NOT impressed. No idea how to contact customer service so I figure I'm out the money I spent. Time to start looking for a new umbrella. ๐๐ป

It was pretty good umbrella so far I guess...
I bought this umbrella in April 2017 and pretty enjoying using it. It was a bit heavier than the ones I had before this one. It said windproof, but when it hit by strong wind a few days ago, it flipped and the rib was broken immediately. Even though I liked the product, I'm a bit disappointed that it was not really windproof so far than I expected. In fact, the stem of it( where the handle is) is not fully extended up since May 2017 too. well, I think this umbrella is ok so far, but just in mind that it does not last longer than you think as I used it only 2 years.

Great Post Sale Support from a Quality Company
I would like to update my review originally posted under a rather harsh heading of "total piece of junk." Whenever an umbrella breaks it's obviously at a bad time and this was no exception. But manufacturing defects do happen no matter how good a company's quality management program. I have been in contact with the company and they did everything possible to remedy the situation. Hopefully I will get years of use from my replacement. I believe that things happen but the mark of a quality company is how they handle problems. And Kolumbo did an excellent job. What a total piece of crap! I was traveling in Italy with my great new "non breakable" umbrella which totally broke the second time I used it. It went halfway and wouldn't open or close. Hard to tell if it would hold up in the wind when it won't open. Fortunately a kid came by selling cheap umbrellas for 2 Euros - about $2. That umbrella worked fine. I would have retuned it but didn't want to lug home a half open umbrella. Suggest you consider this before you buy.

It does its job and is good for a person
This umbrella did its job and it took me a year of use before I decided to post a review on it. Used it in windy conditions in the desert, straight-line winds in upper midwest and during pouring rains in Asia. It does its job and is good for a person, but hard to fir two people underneath this umbrella, even the slim types, unless you have a figure like a stick. Overall recommended product.

Differing definitions of "windproof"?
As another customer already commented, I'm not sure what the definition of windproof is, but I think that Kolumbo's definition is different than mine. I bought this for my boyfriend, who commutes into the city and has to walk from the train station to his office. The first time he tried to use this umbrella was in wind and rain, but nowhere near the 55 MPH advertised limit. Within a few seconds, the umbrella flipped inside out 2 or 3 times. He said that it was easy enough to flip the umbrella back, but I will probably be on the hunt soon for an umbrella that can actually keep him dry on his walk.

Bewst customer service ever!
I like the open and close one button feature. However when you click it close, it needs to be push very very hard to close the handle to the original state which means you have to hold the very wet umbrella with two hands and push hard to close it. That is very difficult and totally not practical! Seller immediately contacted me by email and mailed me a replacement umbrella. The replacement works perfectly! The best customer service ever!

... was excited and hopeful that I had found a great, sturdy travel size umbrella
I was excited and hopeful that I had found a great, sturdy travel size umbrella. Unfortunately, this umbrella proved to be awful and did not last two blocks outside my apartment before a gust of wind flipped it inside out. I live in San Francisco so it definitely is nowhere near the 55mph that this umbrella is supposed to be able to withstand. I will be returning this immediately.
