Easy Fuel System Fix
I inherited my best friends low mileage 2004 Tundra SR5. It had 108k original miles & in new condition. Being 19 years old, some if the sensors began to fail. I became proactive & replaced the easy fuel system items rather than wait for them to fail. The MAF was the final piece of the puzzle. Installs in 5 minutes. My fuel mileage is again normal.

Toyota OEM Part made by Hitachi (2002 Tundra 4.7L)
Update: Still holding nicely! 12/20/2021. Yew!!!Had cleaned the original MAF Sensor a few times over the years, but still couldn’t remove the small amount of black carbon on a few of the delicate inner sections. Stealership wanted $175 for new one. Sourced the manufacturer to Hitachi by looking at the snap on cover of the original MAF on the engine. Sourced it back to this store.Ordered and installed this 6 months (4k miles) ago along with 4 New Denso o2 Sensors. Engine is much torquier! MPG is slightly better now due to the combination of MAF and o2 newness.Tested the old MAF per Toyota FSM Spec and it was out of spec. Same with the old o2’s. After almost 20 years guess it was time? Truck was purring nicely before swap (even being out of spec), but man that awesome torque has come back that I remember when she was new. Engine is even smoother now. The 4.7L rules.Side note: Looks like Hitachi grinds off the Toyota stamping for branding issues. Sensor doesn’t look used/remanufactured as stated in another comment above. Looks like the exact part as the original. No worries because the original cap pops off and snaps over the New Sensor. Also the cost is $55 vs $170. Made in USA!Update April14, 2021: Almost a year later and the unit is working nicely. Truck is in tip top shape and engine purring on the 2002 Tundra 4.7L

Noticeable difference
I originally purchased this to try to knock out my check engine light on my 2000 Toyota Tundra SR5 4x4 4.7L regular cab. My first intention was to send it back since it didn't help with the CEL but that was before driving the truck after replacement. So needless to say I changed my mind because it did help with acceleration, mpg, and a slight little hiccup I had at idle at a light. Then when I treed a Ford at a stop light I knew I was keeping it then

Perfect oem replacement Toyota
Hitachi came factory in 1st gen tundras. So buying here saved me more than half what the dealer wanted. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy again. Do not worry about them removing the stamped serial. They do that as this is a factory oem replacement for Toyota. Only way they can sell them direct to the public. Would not hesitate to buy again.

Don't buy this it is NOT Hitachi!
Like a few others have stated on here the numbers are scratched off with some generic sticker over the scratch marks. Wish I would have read the reviews first. It comes in a Hitachi box but looks nothing like the OEM sensor that was originally in my Tundra. I needed it so installed anyway and the engine instantly started idling crazy and wanted to shut off. After further inspection the elements inside did not look the same. Waste of money now ordering one from the dealer for only $30 more lesson learned.

Great product
Item arrived in Hitachi packaging and with included instructions. TOYOTA was scratched off liked others have mentioned but that part doesn't show once you swap the OEM medal shield that goes over top of it. Idle is smooth again and a slight increase in power and mpg. Definitely a legit Hitachi NEW product and not a reman.

Fixed my cold start problem!
Fixed my cold start problem on my 2000 Toyota Tundra 4.7L V8. It's working perfectly so far. Very noticeable increase in power, and engine is not running rich anymore.

On a trip need a fix.
I was on a trip AZ to TX half way to my destination check engine came on stop at a local AutoZone for a scan got a MAF code. Ordered it before I got to my destination. Put it on and check engine went out came back home reset code because the code stays in the system all good sill.

2004 V8 Tundra 👍
I had a bunch of codes appear suddenly all at the same time. I used an OBD II code scanner. The engine was running like crap. It wouldn't run smoothly when accelerating over 3000 rpm. It also shut down a few times while driving, idling, and coasting on hills thru town, and stopping immediately at times right after starting the truck. I replaced the 10 Amp fuse that had blown (in the engine compartment). Installed this MAF SENSOR and my truck is running smoothly again. It's been almost a month now and it's all just great!I hope this helps somebody else out there who may be tearing their hair out with frustration right now. 😁

Quality ptoduct
My 2004 Sequoia was having hard time staying running whenever I disconnect the battery and clear the computer. Replaced the MAF and now the vehicle runs like new again.
