Osaka, Butane Burner for Tabletop Siphon Coffeemakers

I have not had this product long, so I can't speak to longevity, but it functions well so far. Refilling is the same as refilling a butane lighter. Press the butane canister into the valve at the bottom of the burner for a few seconds. If you overfill, butane will go everywhere but it quickly evaporates. The burner seems like it really wants to be at full blast. I found that the difference between fully open and mostly closed is a quarter to half turn at most. Past that, the burner blows at full blast. That hasn't proven to be an issue for me.

Ok, this thing has a really nice weight to it which I love! Came packaged nice and it works well enough. I say well enough because there were a few times I'd press down on the lever and it wouldn't light. I'd turn off the gas, then press the lever down and voila, it lights. Might be a trick to this but it works but I am removing a star due to the "odd" way it doesn't light some times.

It works like a charm once you figure out how to use it. It looks very sleek. I cannot comment on the durability since I just got it recently. An instruction did not come with the box on how to use it or how to fill it up and that's why 1 star got knocked off. I would recommend it regardless

It seems to work pretty well. So far. I just got it. And the directions are funny. "Turn the gas valve clockwise to open...To lower the flame turn counter-clockwise." The pictures even have arrows on them. It's just that both the pictures and the arrows are exactly opposite of what actually works. :)

It has completely changed coffee making, I am using it with a Hario Next 5-cup Siphon coffee maker. Definitely worth buying, it will reduce the time it takes for your water to get to the top glass to about 10-15 sec if you start with boiling water. You can then reduce the intensity to let your coffee brew.Burner itself has a very elegant design, looks and feels robust, easy to operate

THIS is a beautiful piece. It's well built and feels expensive. The glow that emanates through the Siphon coffeemaker adds to the whole ritual of making that perfect cup of coffee. It holds a lot of fuel, starts every time, and the flame is easily controlled with the knob located on the opposite side of the igniter. I highly recommend this product!

Sturdy - even "beefy" construction. Very well made product. Leaves no residue on bottom of carafe. Great control - easily back off or apply additional heat. I've never needed to use full throttle on this burner, but it's like driving a Ferrari- it's nice to know it's there. The ability to precisely control heat makes for better coffee. Would definitely buy again.

I love the burner, however the switch to ignite the flame broke after using it a couple of times. It still works, I just have to turn on the gas and light it with a match or lighter.
