I'm 66 and have been completely blind for 56 years. For a long time, I've been looking for an easy-to-use binaural microphone that can be easily connected to a current iPhone model. The SP15C from Sonic Presence does just that. The microphones, one for each ear, hang comfortably in front of the ear canals when worn. This ensures that all ambient noise remains clearly audible, even during recording. The included USB-C to USB-C cable allows for a completely uncomplicated connection to the iPhone's universal port. Both the iPhone's built-in tools and various external apps like BackPack Studio can be used as a recorder. The recordings created this way are simply unbelievably realistic. You feel like you're reliving everything you've just recorded. For listening, I recommend good on-ear headphones like those from Shokz. The guys at Sonic Presence have really done a fantastic job here. I'm happy to give the SP15C five out of five stars.

Stronger bass and cleaner dialogues Vs my built in iPhone 15 pro max microphones. It does pick up all sounds including enhance by the ambient sound. My main use is concert recording and this seems to capture the bass better than other external mics. I would use a third party app like black magic to reduce the gain otherwise it might be too loud. I compared against a shotgun mic but those products appear to be good for dialogue and not music. I even tried a more expensive stereo usbc shotgun style mic and the stereo and full bass recording on this is much cleaner. My only criticism is the microphone does look and feel cheap…but it seems to work really well for its intended use and I can’t really find a better alternative. It’s also more covert that it wears along the ears rather than an awkward looking shotgun mic at concerts.

Good sounding, comfy even with glasses, connect with Filmic Pro, Moment, Voice Record, etc. Knowledgeable and friendly support. No issues recording ambient sounds to Voice Record for prolonged times on iPhone 14. No interference issues, no cable noise, no pops. Construction sounds, planes, helicopters, beach walla, emergency vehicles, restaurant ambiance… and all that with a discreet small earphone type of setup. Make sure you get some wind protection or at least a beanie. The right cable for the iPhone and the wind jammers are listed on manufacturer’s website.

These really blew past my expectations.The sound really is like the ultra 4k HDR of audio recording a live environment. True 3D immersion. AAA+I use these with my live streaming rig connected to a “belabox” encoder installed on an orange pi 5+.Works fantastic.

Nothing out the ordinary in terms of recording quality; actually not that great. My prior mic was a $50 condenser amazon special that came with a lot of accessories that I went back to using. I do voice over work etc; and my voice sounded so weird; could not edit the low hum away. The ear pieces do not stay put - you cannot adjust to your ear size and I have small ears. One would think with all the technology they boast that the very least they could be adjustable to be comfortable. Mine fell off. I retuned them. Not worth the money. Disappointed. I also went and invested in a 3dio mic - may as well if I'm serious about what I'm doing.

It's hard to not love these just based on how they sound. They DO sound good. The quality of sound they reproduce doesn't match their demure stature. But what just kept turning me off is the way they go on (and come off) my ears. The problem may, indeed, be that I wear glasses. But when I'd go to take these off, and they'd hook onto my glasses arm, and pull them off my face, it got REAL frustrating. Especially when my hands are full of microphone and phone.Your experience my be fantastic if you don't wear glasses. I found them to just not want to get along with anything else on my face.Maybe they come out with a hard-shell version or a molded version of these instead of the "looped tube" design. Those might be better for us glasses wearing folks. But the issue with the kind of clumsy on and off (taking them off was worse then putting them on) just annoyed me. Honestly? I'd love to see these integrated into a set of studio-monitor headphones. IF you could isolate them properly. But for me, they're good, not great, the way they're currently designed.Great sound, they just don't get along well with glasses. At least not for me. Recommend heartily for non-glasses wearing folks for sure. Glasses wearers might want to demo them first before "going live".
