I love this aquarium light timer! It fits perfectly onto my Aqueon LED hood, and the best part is the gradual dimming feature. Instead of suddenly turning on and startling my fish, it slowly brightens in the morning and dims at night, creating a much more natural transition. It’s a great product, easy to use, and makes a big difference for my tank. Highly recommend!

I wrote very positive or very negative reviews only generally. This is a bad one! I have purchased two of these exact same pieces now, the first on December 13, 2022, and the current one on February 8, 2024 - BOTH HAVE BURNED OUT ALREADY! I bought the same one again, only because this piece has good reviews, and I suspected I just was unlucky and got a lemon! Nope, as both have burned out way too fast! I highly suggest you buy something else. To answer the obvious, neither have gone into the water, because I have made sure that would not happen; neither have been pulled on, so the cords were fine as they are tucked out of the way - they simply stopped working! I will never buy this fish tank light timer ever again, as it has clearly been a waste of money! I highly suggest not buying it! I even went back to check on the ratings just now, and was surprised to find them still getting a 4 star rating with 811 reviews just a moment ago! I like the concept, the ways it works - when it works, but it has poor quality electronics, and fails way too easily! Buy a different one!

I bought this because I can’t separate the power from the filter and the light so a timer like this was perfect. Unfortunately the timer lets the light slowly increase but then suddenly shuts off. In the end all I’ve paid for is a dimmer, which does work so I’ve given 3 stars. I would not recommend this product for the light that comes with the Top Fin 5 gallon Retreat kit.EDIT: I have no understanding of why this light timer did not work when I first purchased it but it works now! The dimmer, the timer. Wow! We moved house and now it works! I am now satisfied with the product and would recommend but try plugging it up to a different outlet if it doesn't function properly is the only advice I could give. Happy with the purchase now. Would recommend.

beautiful in it's simplicity. plug it in. choose a timer setting. set it when you want it to start. that's it. and less than $10. My fish haven't said much, but i think they will love it

I tried other timer & light adjustment combos, only to be disappointed. This NICREW allows me to adjust the timer and light brightness individually. I recommend ALL NICREW PRODUCTS.Save yourself the frustration & trouble. Buy NICREW 1st. I learned the hard way. In the future, I'm going straight to NICREW products. Great quality, prompt & friendly customer service, and they stand behind all their products.

Worked great for a little over a year. Then it stopped working. Came here to buy a new one but I see a lot of other people have had the same complaint so I'll go with a different brand.

Worked fine for a year then started randomly turning aquarium lights on and off. It freaked out my fish when lights were doing random stuff. I liked it when it worked but for a small piece of electronics it died too fast.
