Terrible Investment - 0 of 5 Stars
I read the reviews and I'm sure like many others, I trusted GE's reputation over the comments. Of the 4 strands I purchased, 3 of the strands stopped working within a week of hanging the lights on my house.

Fix it! Easy!
Most of the issues you will find with these lights are when half of the light string doesn't work. Grab the little spare parts plastic bag, read the short instructions. Start at the very end of the string which is not working. Unscrew the light bulb, then use a small flat screwdriver to gently pry up the small led light. Inspect it to make sure it has one wire on each side, if not, that's the one to replace. It's that connection from the wire and two sides of the wire connection that breaks mostly. If two wires are there, push the led back in, its good. screw in the light bulb and go to the next one. I fixed 4 strings of these lights at my sister in laws. 5-7 minutes to find the broken led light and replace. Its pretty obvious when you find the broke light. It's a pain but workable.

Crap.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Should have listened to the previous review, but I was desperate seeing as every other place around me is sold out of these. Strand only half works. Don’t bother ordering these. Find another seller.

Awful Product
The media could not be loaded. Spent hours hanging these on a talk tree. Mine lasted 2 days. Paid $250 for a ladder to change the fuses. This did not work. Never buying a GE product.

Poor quality, poor value
Did not buy these through Amazon - local big box store. Purchased (3) reels of these C9 LED lights to use on front of home. These were purchased for Christmas 2018 and I opted to pay the extra cost based for long life / durability and the GE name. Installed after Thanksgiving. Half of one of the strands quit working a week before Christmas. The lights have a 3-year warranty. Contacted the company through the Website listed on the box and was advised to ship the string back to them at my cost. If found to be defective, a replacement would be sent. Shipping cost was going to be about half the price of the product. Decided it was not worth the added cost. Jump ahead to 2019 - pulled the remaining (2) reels out of storage and both strings are bad - same problem with half the lights being out on both strings. I have read similar complaints in other reviews. These lights are rated for outdoor but the colored bulb housings are prone to filling up with water when it rains. Not sure if this is the cause of the problem but these bulbs are not very well made and warranty is essentially worthless. Back in the day of "traditional" light strings, if a string went bad it was fairly inexpensive to toss and replace. Not true with these LED's at $30+ per reel. My experience says to avoid these and buy a different brand.

They fail, not constructed well enough.
The first year with these most strands worked. Some only had half the strand lit up. Fuses were good and I went light by light switching out bulbs without fixing them. I found the wiring going into bulb bases were the issue which cannot be fixed. When moved, they work but are not constructed well enough and cannot hold up. GE says they have a 5 year warranty which they will only cover if you send in receipt and product to them. For the price and effort these are not worth it. I expected better grom GE but its another "Made in China" product. Do not buy!!!

Junk
I tested the roll before installing and all worked. After painstakingly installing a strand on my roof, only half the strand worked. I tested another roll and all lights worked, then again, only half the strand would light thereafter. We've used Sylvania for the last few years and worked every time with the exception of a few burned out bulbs. GE should be ashamed of this garbage made in China product. Extremely disappointing!

Might last a year if lucky
Lights worked for about a year but then 1/2 the string went dark. Checked fuses, checked bulbs,, no help. Poorly made with very bad electrical connections. Don't waste your money !
