Did the job
I was a bit nervous about these based on some of the other reviews, which I think raised legitimate issues about appearance and ease of use. Fortunately, I didn't have the problems that others have experienced. I ordered the brown cord cover, 25-foot length, to cover some speaker and network cables in my living room. The first 15 to 20 feet or so of the cord cover didn't have too much trouble laying flat. If you look at the back length in the attached photo, you'll see a bit of a rise at the right, where it goes under the entertainment center. Otherwise, it laid flat without any intervention on my part. It helps that I rolled out the length, placed heavy books on both ends, and left it flat for a few days before I worked with it.The inner part of the coil does have a problem laying flat but I haven't had to use that portion yet. When I do, I'll employ the techniques that others have used, e.g., coiling it up in the other direction, putting it in a sink and pouring boiling water over it, then laying it out flat when it's at its most pliable. The color was pretty true to what I expected. I ordered brown and I got a nice medium brown. It is pretty visible against the hardwood, as you can see, but I found that after a few days, I didn't even notice. Due to where I have it, and that it's pretty well anchored at both ends, I found that I didn't need to use any sticky tape to make it stay in place. Unless I'm scuffling along, it stays pretty well where I put it.My ILife robot vacuum cleaner has no problem with the cord cover, sliding right over it without any trouble or entanglements and without pushing it around. There were two thing that I didn't like about this cord cover. The first is that despite its width (which was wider than I expected, about one and a half times wider than the diameter of a typical 12-oz soda can), it can't actually hold much. I had hoped to use just one length of cord cover from my entertainment center to my surround sound speakers but with two pairs of 12-gauge speaker wires and an antenna cord, the first cord cover was completely full, so two of them were required. In all fairness, 12-gauge wire is pretty thick; if I were using the typical thin speaker wires that I've used before, I might have been able to fit them all.The second minor issue is that, as another reviewer noted, these are dust/lint magnets. I have no idea where this stuff comes from but within a matter of hours, both lengths of cord cover were speckled with visible lint. And this was in a pretty clean home with no kids or pets tracking things in. My suspicion is that this is just the usual stuff that comes in through open windows, gets tracked in from outside, etc., and then gets blown around and usually ends up in a corner or under furniture. Well, now it's ending up on these cord covers and it's sticking to the rubber. Oh, well ... more incentive for me to vacuum more often.Overall, I think these are okay. They're wider than I expected but I should have looked on a ruler before I purchased, and they don't hold quite as much as I wanted, but they do get the job done with a minimum of fuss. They're easy to cut to length with a box cutter and they lay pretty well where you place them. Depending on where you put them, you may not even need some sort of carpet tape or other double-sided tape. Overall, I'm pleased, and it's a lot cheaper to use this cord cover than it is to hire a professional to run these wires for me through the walls and under the floor.

Good quality, but color doesn't match photo
I purchased the gray version. The quality is good, but the color does not match the photo on Amazon. The actual color is much darker. It is not a light gray, but rather a dark/charcoal gray.

Used in cool basement--rolling up no problem
First this is a nice heavy piece of rubber (or whatever). It has three slots for cord, but the two on the side are smaller, and you must be able to push the wire through from one end to another. You might be able to do it with speaker wire, but probably not CAT5 (if the connectors were on it). However the middle slot has an opening on the bottom, so you can push a wire into it. I had a 14-gauge round extension cord that I could get in ok.Now about the rolling up thing: When I opened the box, I was a bit worried. It was rolled and was quite stiff (just came in from a 30-degree day). I brought it to the intended location (basement at about 65 degrees), unrolled it, and put a chair on each end for a couple hours. It was pretty ok by then with a bit of curl at the end. Then I turned it over (with the intended up side facing up, curl facing down) and again put a chair on the curly end. By an hour or so later it was just fine. I turned it upside down again, pushed the cord in, and then turned it back (with the cord in it). All is well. with a small hump at one end. I put something on it, and I have no doubt it will be fine shortly. (This spot is out of the way in any case).

Color was darker than I expected
The gray color for this is darker than I expected based on the photos provided (minor issue). It works perfectly to protect wires from our robovacuum rolling over it.

Ugly, but does what it is supposed to do
We needed to run two floor lamp cords across floor to seating area. We can fit both in this cover with no problem. The end of the cover by the baseboard is curling up a bit probably due to stretch of cord to outlet, so having some slack is probably a good idea, but not possible with the length of our lamp cords versus the length of the cover. No one has tripped on the cover (a major concern of mine). The Roomba does get stuck on it, thinks it is a pile of dirt, and has discolored the cover with its scuffs.

Been in use for six years in Oregon sun and rain
I purchased this six years ago to the month. It has allowed me to bring electrical across my driveway to a fountain. It’s a bit faded but it still looks nice with no cracks and works well. Occasionally I kick it around to make it straight more or less. I’m installing a gate for my dad so I’m here to get another one so we don’t have to cut under the driveway for electrical.
