I have the original shovel by lovejoy and its been awesome I even took their challenge and really put it to the test and abused it and it held up with out issues well maybe 1 minor issue to lock the shovel head in place it uses a screw down handle and that would loosen up often so when I saw an upgraded version I got it and im not at all disappointed same tough quality with a larger shovel head and handle the handle is longer and has a few more accessories the head now locks in place with a spring loaded slide lock which is super fast and easy to use and locks in tight and positive it is now mounted on my dual sport bike very happy with this

Excellent tool for the car, the boat or the back yard! The carry bag is great- Very sturdy, well made pieces fit together easily to form a super strong shovel that has 3 ways to bend for different uses. The flashlight is really bright, and the beacons are easy to use. There’s even a fire starter. I love the whistle; I found my little boy at Disney on the opposite side of the dinosaur with a whistle when we couldn’t hear each other’s voices, as close as we were to each other. And if you need rescuing, you can blow a whistle much longer than you can scream for help, and it carries farther. (I learned this truth from Barney, the Purple Dinosaur). The chainsaw and drill bits are also well made. There are over 25 tools in this shovel- I bought one as a gift and one for my house. I might just buy another one for the boat exclusively.

The five joy shovel came in a nice bag. Assembling it is intuitive and fun, Especially fond of the easy release mechanism at the shove head. The flush light that can be mounted at the end of the stick is a nice feature. it also has a strong magnet at one end. The battery for the light, when fully charged, can be used to charge my iPhone 8 about 3/4 full in about an hour. (I will carry a power bank anyway but it’s good to have for emergency) The shovel drives into my clay heavy ground super easy, and all the cutting tools parts come in pretty sharp. I m particularly impressed by how well the dainty little pocket chainsaw worked. The two foam sleeves are a big plus for the ergonomics. Overall it’s a high quality product and definitely badass looking to carry it around. Seems to be a product handy to use and last lifetime.

This set comes with just about everything you need for the outdoors. It is sturdy and can handle digging through rocky ground and the normal clay/dirt. The bag is sturdy as well and everything overall is high quality. Would recommend.

I did a lot of research looking for everything I would want for a well built survival shovel and this fit every category. Great product would highly recommend.

Gave this to my husband for Christmas. He LOVES it! It is extremely durable and lightweight.
