DIAMOND SELECT TOYS Aliens: Alien Warrior Cookie Jar

I have to agree with other reviewers that the actual product is not what you are seeing in this photo which is most likely the phenomenal original sculpt. Some of the textures seen here are almost entirely absent. There is a lot less detail in the jar itself and the paint job is very different, a glossy black which only further blurs these details. If you are familiar with Diamonds bust/bank line it is similarly disappointing in person. It is 12 inches tall, I am not sure why so many places are describing it as 18 inches. Still, for $40 it's a fun piece so I am giving it 3 stars, but as product photos and descriptions go I would struggle to give it 2.

I love this cookie jar! A slight note, it's more black than the green the picture shows, and more glossy than the dull. But it's still awesome and it keeps my cookies nice and safe. I mean, who would want to risk a fight with a Xenomorph when they can buy their own cookies!

After reading reviews I was concerned about the detail or lack thereof. I was pleasantly surprised by the detail it has. I was also expecting it to be heavier than what it is, but even better that it isn't. It is a glazed finish and not matte as the stock photo appears; I prefer it glazed since, to me, it looks more like an Alien/Xenomorph.

This thing is so awesome. It looks really cool and it's HUGE. The picture is not accurate, though. It's not green at all - it's all black, and glossy/shiny. I don't mind though, because I think it looks more like the slimy black alien queen.

The cookie jar is better than the picture. It's very light ceramic and simply must have for a sci-fi fan who likes cookies. Purchased it as a birthday gift and it was a big hit.

Is gloss black instead of matte green as pictured. This is fine with me for this specific product, but makes me wary of other products not being as pictured.

Love it! I'm a big collector of alien merchandise and this jar is a great addition. Box is beautiful. Jar is shinny. Arrived fast and unharmed. Large.

My husband LOVES IT! It wasn't green, bronze, grey, or gold. It was a light black color; exactly what he wanted.

Well, there's two critisisms I have with this item.I expected the mould to be as sharp and outstanding as the advertised picture of the product, which is meant to represent to real deal, which I'm sad to say, the version I received does not do the picture any justice at all.The measurement described states the cookie jar as approximately 18 inches high. I beg to differ, as the mould I received is 12 inches high. Why the seller has used 'approximate' in their description I haven't a clue as their approximation is an over-statement if there ever was one.There is no rubber/silocon seal seperating the skull from the body which you would expect to help prevent accidental chips etc when removing/replacing skull. If you used this piece to store your cookies I suspect they would go damp if they're contained long enough (no seal).That said, the packaging looks authentic and the base is stamped and from a distance looks good as one can recognise Giger's design immediately. Shame about the poor mold detail (compared to the advert picture).

Nach langem suchen nun endlich gefunden.. leider entspricht es nicht meinen Vorstellungen da es auf dem Foto komplett anders aussieht als in wirklich..Aber es ist ein Hingucker..

It's only 12 inches high not the 18 inches as advertised. The paint work is in flat gloss black, you can see videos of it on ytube

Literally got fed up of my friends children coming to mine and eating all my biscuits/sweets/cookies. Thankfully they are scared of the new jar and I love aliens. The little darlings now have to settle with a piece of fruit. I would highly recommend this!
