Are they primed or gessoed?

Yes they are primed canvas boards. Great for beginners and trying out new ideas beachside cheaper than streatched canvas.

are they good for watercolor?

They work ok. I do not recommend the past two times I purchased them the canvas smelled and had to throw them out.

Can you use colored pencils to draw on these?

I used a colored pencil just to sketch out the picture I was going to paint. However, I don’t think using colored pencils as your medium would work well.
