Durable and with plenty of adapters, this kit is what I needed. I used to work on cars for a living back in 1997-1999 and we had one similar to this but I don't remember the brand. Now I work on cars for a hobby and to help friends so I needed a good kit with as many adapters as I could find for a 'hobby' price. For true professionals, you may want to look at the Snap On kit that covers 96% of all cars BUT is over $500. I wanted durability plus value. I shopped for two weeks doing research and this kit was my choice. Thankfully it was a good one. Here's a bonus for you readers: I also own the Harbor Freight 66829 Front Wheel Bearing Kit. Some of the adapters can be used with this kit, giving you more complete coverage of vehicles you may work on. I did NOT buy the Harbor Freight brand ball joint kit for a reason. The type of pressure you are going to put on this tool requires superior materials and craftsmanship so go with the Alltrade.

I am a professional automotive repair technician. I use this tool on many different vehicles. From Ford Taurus to E.450 Ford ambulance ball joints. The tool works as should and I like it. The instructions are hard to read and only give you a vague description on how to do ball joints so prior knowledge is definitely useful. Someone I work with said the C-Press is an OTC knock-off. That would actually be a good thing since the OTC press is a really good one and doesn't stretch or bend like the cheap ones do. I would recommend this to a friend. If I have any issues I will update my review. The adapters all work great and are of good quality. The case is nice with the names of all the adapters molded into the case.

This Set is much better than the set I rented from the auto parts store which wasn't bad at all but experienced a little flex in the "C" arm on theirs. This is HEAVY DUTY all the way thru and "Not Chinese" as this is made in Taiwan to meet or exceed US ANSI standards....One of the best decisions on TOOL's I have ever made and I have a lot of tools.......

Rented a similar model from Autozone but when I looked it didn't have the correct fittings to remove the lower ball joint on my Acura TL 2003. Then I went to Advanced Auto and rented this one. It's great and made the job a sinch. I still needed a few large washers, some grinding off the ball joint threads for removal but the thing was close enough.

The tool set looks solid and reliable, but as soon as I needed it to work I found issues with it. I needed it to replace the front suspension ball joints on my Ford SUV. When I got the vehicle all torn apart and tried to remove the lower ball joint on one side, every time I used the fitting that was suppose to work, it would flex open and shift, forcing that fitting open further and slipping off the lower control arm. I had to resort to my trusty hammer (which I was trying to avoid) to initially break it loose. Then I was able to use the tool to finish removing the ball joint. I gave it three stars because I only experienced that issue on that one side, the rest of the time it worked fine.

This tool was purchased to change the ball joints on a 3/4 ton, 4x4 with 9 years of road salt. I used a 3/4 drive ratchet with a cheater pipe to the point that the tool flexed - but did not break. The job couldn't have been done without a durable tool.I used most of the various adapters for disassembly, and reassembly of the upper and lower joints. The kit had all the components I needed.I intended, but forgot, to order a pickle fork too. Had to pick one up from the local auto parts store to do the job.

Used on a Ram 3500.I wish has a bigger C clamp,but managed to replace both upper and lower ball joints.Doen not bend used with impact wrench.

I used this same kit and work and with this crap i was out a job, SO i bought this to do ball joints on my Dodge Charger (06 Daytona trim). The knuckle on these cars makes it a little hard to get an adaptor to fit as you only have 1/2 of a circle to press on and it wants to walk sideways, so make sure you got it straight. Used it on my High Torque Milwaukee 1/2 gun and it was great, doesn't seem to have any damage from that as i would expect. I always put a little lube (wd-40 whaterver you got) when going back in so its nice and easy and shouldn't mess anything up. Also clean the area where it's gonna press in too. Not exactly a starter ball join press kit, but if you plan on doing it for yourself, family, friends, maybe just ask 20 bucks or something and you could have it pay for itself after a little bit, i've just heard of the cheap ones breaking a bunch and didn't want to try my luck with that.
