HTC One M8 Case, Terrapin [Extra Slim Fit] Hybrid Rubberized [Black] Protective Hard Case for HTC One M8 - Black

I've always been a fan of these types of cases because they help prevent scratches on the phone while not adding much bulk. The material feels soft on the fingers with a little bit of slip. It's not nearly as slippery as the M8's aluminum body so I feel much less nervous pulling the phone out of my pockets. Personally I don't mind that the SIM and SD slots are covered because I will rarely, if ever, need access to the slots after the initial installation.As for the cutouts the power button, volume rocker, and USB port are all easily accessible. Nothing blocks the cameras, flash, or the noise canceling microphone either. I'm knocking off 1.5 stars (rounded up to 4) because there isn't enough of a cutout for the headphone port. I have a pair of Sennheiser CX300-B's and in most positions they work fine, but there's 1 position where if I rotate the jack the case would slightly push it out just enough and it would disconnect the headphones from the phone. Granted this is specific to whichever headphones you use, but from a design perspective there should have been more of a cutout to be on the safe side. Also I'd like to note that the bottom lip of the case is not very smooth so if you hold the phone up and use a pinky to stop the phone from slipping down like I sometimes do, you might notice some discomfort.8/5/2014 Update...I'm docking a star to 2.5 stars for this product (rounded up to 3). Yesterday I received the Bear Motion (BM) back cover and while very similar to this product, it is better in my opinion. The BM provides enough of a cutout so my Sennheiser earbuds do not disconnect if the jack gets rotated in any way. I also prefer the textured feel of the BM which makes it feel more premium even though both cases are made from China. I had a BM back cover for my HTC One M7 and am happy to have another one for my HTC One M8.Over time fingerprints would be an issue with this Terrapin Hybrid cover. After the first week or two it just feel dirty to hold. I may just be a little picky but I had to clean the case with soap and water on a few occasions to "restore" it.

This Terrapin Hybrid Rubberized cover fits like a glove. It isn't very grippy, just enough over going coverless so I don't feel it'll slide out of my hand. It slides in and out of pockets easily. It will not provide a great deal of drop protection, but will definitely help with scratches and dings. It adds little if any noticeable bulk to the phone. I have both black and the grey, and they are a nice matte finish. I tried the Bear Motions and the Cimo as well. The Bear motions was too tall for the phone, leaving a lip of plastic and a small gap both top and bottom. The finish was gritty, which I liked. The Cimo fits very tightly. it also is too tall for the phone, but less so then the Bear motions cover. So, if your looking for a light cover that's not flashy or expensive, this is it.

Was looking for a simple case for my HTC One M8 and found this little gem cause a diamond it is not.It fit well but there are some issues. The top of the case over laps the so much that is sometimes hard press the power button when using one hand. The bottom of the case can get be a little ruff and get sharp so you may have to grind it down. To top it all off I've only had this case a couple of weeks and now it's cracked and I have to buy a new one. You do get what you pay for with this one, no extras.

Top case I have every bought for a phone. Slim and does not take anything away from the style of the phone. Most add bulkiness not this one. Great feel, the exact tactile feel for a case you want, secure in your hand but still smooth and comfortable. Also VERY important to know, this case is designed to ALLOW the remote to work with case on. Great plus as many HTC One cases do not, and actually block the remote. Great color, just as pictured. If you own an HTC one and like the design as it is, but want a case for a little extra protection, this is the case, hands down.

So I've had this Terrapin case for a year now. It really does provide a better grip on my HTC M8, without it my phone would easily slip of my hand. The case has a soft rubbery feel to it but it feels good in your hand, I've dropped my phone a few times and my phone hasn't been damaged. the last time I dropped my phone it landed on the lower left hand corner and the case did finally cracked on that one corner, not bad at all for a year worth of use and a few drops. Very happy with Its quality and overall ruggedness. Time for a new one..👍

Bought this case because I prefer super slim non-bulky cases that still protect the actual phone (mostly the corners). This case does just that and keeps the phone very slim. Has a very nice hard-rubber feel to it for a good grip so you won't drop the phone. It's the kind of rubber that improves grip but won't stick to the fabric inside your pocket which I hate. I definitely recommend this case to anyone looking for one that is slim and gets the job done.

My complaint is that the bottom creates a harsh edge which makes holding the device uncomfortable. It's simple to fix with a dremel or some other means of sanding it down. For the price, it's excusable but I'm still not impressed. The case would benefit from being grippier but it does its job as is.

I like that the sim slot, and microsd slot are actually covered. A lot of the other cases are leaving them exposed which is pointless.Case could be compared to something like the incipio feather, but the case itself is about half as thick as a feather case. It is seriously thin.Only thing I would change is to have the camera and flash cutouts be more precise, rather then one hole for both.For the price, no complaints.

Für mein neues M8 brauchte ich einen gewissen Schutz, da ich von Bekannten wusste, dass der Aluminium-Unibody natürlich kratzempfindlich ist. Nun wollte ich die Haptik des tollen Smartphone nicht durch irgendeine dicke Schutzhülle kaputt machen. Die Hülle hält genau das, was sie verspricht. Es ist eine gummierte Hülle, die ohne dick aufzutragen, die Oberfläche des M8 schützt und ggf. auch den einen oder anderen Sturz aus nicht allzu großer Höhe mildern kann - ohne es ausprobiert zu haben.

Ich zumindest kann die vielen guten Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen ODER bei meiner bestellten Case liegt ein Produktionsfehler vor.Von der Haptik ist die Hülle sehr gut.Leider ist die Hülle am unteren Ende so scharfkantig, dass ich mich geschnitten habe. Da das Smartphone ja beim normalen Halten meist auf einem Finger lastet, ist das ein absolutes No-Go.Ich habe die Case etwas abgeschliffen, leider ist das auch keine gute Lösung.Ein weiterer negativer Punkt ist das entfernen der Case. Es war fast unmöglich. Wir mussten das da richtig aushebeln um die Case vom HTC One M8 zu entfernen.Insgesamt waren wir nicht sehr zufrieden, kann aber an unserer Charge gelegen haben.

Die Hülle sieht super aus und fühlt sich auch gut an! Sie Passt 1a auf das Gerät und lässt sich auch problemlos entfernen. Leider mag sie keine Stöße.. und bricht/reißt dann doch schnell. (Hatte vorher ein One X mit vergleichbarer Hülle - anderer Hersteller - besserer Preis - die deutlich mehr aushielt)

Sieht gut und aus und dürfte vermutlich alles gut schützen. Ich habe mir die Hülle bestellt, da ich für mein altes Handy eine ähnliche hatte und mit dieser überaus zufrieden war. Muss allerdings einer Rezension Recht geben, die besagt das die Hülle an der Auflagefläche am Finger Schmerzen verursacht. Ich habe mich zwar nicht daran geschnitten aber unangenehm ist es doch.

Liegt gut in der Hand und rutscht nicht.Super flach und gut gearbeitet.Habe ich bereits das zweite Mal gekauft.Beim Runterfallen ist ein Stück aus dem Hardcover gebrochen. Daher nur 4 Sterne.
