Works great for GT72 Q6D.
Purchased for MSI GT72 Q6D Dominator Pro. It’s identical to the OEM brick just with a blue power light instead of green. Works exactly as expected.

I got this for my GT72VR. Worked fine for almost 10 min then a blue screen. thought it was a fluke wasn't sure what caused it. about 20 min after restart and using again a sudden plastic smell was in the room and the cord box was making a loud buzz sound with some pops. I noticed it was very hot and was melting and probably would have started on fire without noticing the smell. I guess it takes a near fire to finally make me write an amazon review.I also did my return with Amazon directly as I did not want an other one

Well, I initially thought this product would be an improvement over the factory design my Laptop came with. Sadly, there is exactly nothing different.Even the image of this product is false. The little grooves on the casing? Don't exist.Why is that important? They dissipate heat.An MSI GT72 Dominator Pro generates enough heat to melt plastic. Yes, that is right, it can melt plastic when it is fully overclocked, running all four processors, with two cooling pads and a built-in turbofan.The power supply subsequently, also generates massive amounts of heat. Now, a standard power supply can handle the normal, everyday load no problem, just as this product can.However, because it is missing those seemingly insignificant cooling fins, that's all it can do.I basically wasted $50 on a product I already had.

Loud Fan :-(
The power adapter worked fine and does it's job, however the fan inside it is way too loud. I would steer clear of this model and go to a model without a fan.

Crap. But works sorta
Overheats and shuts down randomly. Can smell melting plastic. Mine did not come with a cooling fan.
