I really like the product. It has a subtle lift that adjusts your position and makes long drives tolerable. I used to use the silly rolls and funky cushions but this is really a magical transformation of the position. Unfortunately the plastic has deformed in the front left corner and curls down, and under a bit. Doesn't seem to affect the function -- just looks odd. I cannot send it back to the original seller because they are not the current seller. Amazon itself has a three month period but the defective plastic did not surface in the magic three month period  BackJoy Posture+ Back Ortho Seat

I am always looking for new products to help my posture and to improve my back comfort - particularly in the car. I tried an older version of this BackJoy in a store and liked it with hard seats, but did not feel it would be good in a car. With the new model, and several positive reviews talking about use in the car, I thought I would take a chance on this model. I still prefer the Seat Solution Orthopedic Seat Cushion that I have been using for years. The Seat Solution relieves pressure on the tailbone better and has a smooth bottom surface that allows rotation of the cushion as you enter/exit the car. I also found it very difficult to add a back pillow on the days I felt I needed it due to the rigidity of the seat - this is not an issue with the Seat Solution.I should say, I have use this when I have to sit for longer periods of time on a hard seat - although this is not very often - I would recommend it for this application.

It has a nice modern look but it unfortunately does not do a thing to help my posture while sitting.

Almost a year ago I raised my desk at work and got rid of my office chair. This single change helped relieve my back pain more than anything. I prefer to stand. When I go to people's homes, or to a party/gathering, people are always telling me to sit down, and that I'm making them uncomfortable...but sitting is simply uncomfortable for me unless I'm in a recliner.Last weekend I was at an annual 3 day convention that required a total of 6 four-hour sitting periods. This usually would have left me with an extremely painful lower back and tailbone. Just days prior to the convention I was on a cross-country flight (NY to SF). While waiting in Denver for my next flight for 4 hours, I decided to take a walk around the concourse, and stumbled upon a BackJoy sales booth. I had never seen these before, but the salesman doing what salesmen do - offered to let me try it out. I did, and it felt fine, but I was a bit skeptical, so I walked away without purchasing.That's when I came to Amazon to read the reviews before making my purchase. My rump was already sore from my other flights and Greyhound bus rides over the prior week. After reading a few of the reviews I was sold. I paid about $5 more at the airport, but I didn't want to get on another plane without it.Now, it's not perfect. As others have stated, it doesn't work as well atop cushioned chairs, but it sure beats sitting directly on lightly-cushioned seating - like airplane / bus / stadium seating. Some minor adjustments may be needed here and there to remain comfortable.After using this device during the 3-day convention, my lower back still hurt after sitting for extended periods of time - though only about 50% of what it would have been had I not had the BackJoy. My tailbone had no pain whatsoever, and there was no hint of my legs or other parts going numb after prolonged sitting.I got a few stares, laughs, and some light ribbing from friends for bringing my 'booster seat' / 'tractor seat', but at the end of the day, quite a few people wanted to try it, and a couple were convinced that they will need one for next year's convention.I plan on getting into Kayak fishing, and am anxious to try it out on the water. Anyone know if it floats?In case you're wondering, I'm 6'2" 250lb. Supposedly this is a one-size-fits-all...but anyone that's either really small, or really big, knows that there's really no such thing.

i can never understand how such a simple product can have so many good reviews, but then have so many terrible reviews. what the hell is going on?I've had this thing for a few months. i'm a video editor. my chair has a medium firmness cushion on it.yeah, you have to readjust your butt back on to it occasionally.. its not complicated though. the point is to sit comfortably on the raised part so your hips get pushed up. works great. definitely cheaper than getting a fancy chair.

I get back aches so thought I'd try this device. I'm 5'3 and around 110 pounds. I had high hopes for this device so I tried it in my car, on my kitchen island chair, my dining room chair, and my leather couch and sadly this has not help at all. It doesn't feel any different so I don't know what I could be doing "wrong". Have adjusted it as directed and nothing. So after a month I stopped using it. Very disappointed.

My wife bought this and it didn't work for her. However, i had been having back pain for a few weeks and she thought it couldn't hurt to try it out. I used it for one day and my back pain went away. I'm not a doctor but the back pain i was having was like that of sciatica, if that helps. The only reason i don't give it a five star is because i still can't believe how fast it worked

I've been using this for several months, now. I am stunned to say that it actually works. As advertised. Really. It is so simple and inexpensive that I thought it would not. But it does. I'm a 65 year old executive. I spend far too much time sitting behind my desk. This gizmo has done away with nagging back strain, especially as it affect my mid-back. It has also resulted in much more comfortable neck and shoulders. Go figure.

ですが、腰痛が治らないのは確かです。この手の商品は２度と買いません。結局、椅子を買い換えた方が遥かに効果が有りました。安かろう悪かろうですね。

購入して早々に使用しました。しかし、未だに使用目的が確認できません。後は、蒸れます。特に夏場は、お尻が汗で蒸れまくりです。
