Much better quality than last drive. Still getting used to it. I feel the changes are for the better

march 26th 2025, just got this and installed it. will see how it runs over time.sure glad i DID not have to put this dvr on internet to utilize it. for me all that remote viewing ap stuff is just another way a hacker can also remote view your things. glad this device allows use with or without internet OR any DOWNLOADING into your phone or computer. those function are optional. i prefer simple nonstop recording with overwrite i dont need or want all the nit picking things this device offers and it offers ALOT of customization for those who want all that. this thing is a mess. when you do simple hardrive format it messes with all the cameras and resets all the settings. this is completely not like the old lorex i had. sending this thing back. also when format HDD it goes into a bunch of blank screens on and on, plus it only plays back 4 channels at a time and it is vastly more troublesome than the old lorex version i had for many years. ugh.

All works as expected. We were replacing a precious Lorex item so the cameras just plugged and played, no problem.

Don’t buy it, they sent me a broken one , even no specification in the box , and I download lorex APP, scan the QR code on the machine! It show me couldn’t find this device! Than I return this item to them , only get 80%cash back!
