I use a variety of watercolor sets and this one is a great pan for beginners. They will need assistance. The colors were nice and vibrant. Drop some water on each pan a few minutes before you start painting to soften them. The metallic paint is nice on paper but the pans were dry & cracked before I let them soak a few extra minutes.You can't beat the price on this travel pan set - I'd recommend for both kids & adults.

I found the watercolor set to be easy to use. There’s a pure enjoyment of layering the colors for different effects. If you are new to watercolors this set will include paper and a watercolor pen. Don’t be afraid to play and experiment with what the watercolor’s can do. I am very happy with this set and the bonus is it is small and can go with me to work and I can use them on my break. I will use them for a creative outlet. By no means am I good at watercolors but I find this set a great starting point on how to use them.

Very cool little set. Fun variety of colors. Canvases are small 5 x 7 with three drip-feed 'brushes' that you fill with water. Squeezing their handles allows for easy thinning and clean-up. Gets you started at a great price. If you find that you like painting with watercolors, you are going to need some bigger paper (cold-pressed medium grade watercolor pad) and some wider brushes.

My verdict is that this is an ok beginner set, as a gift to someone starting watercolor, or for crafters. Presentation is decent. Detail misses (hence 4 stars).The metal/palette is convenient. The only con is that the metal tray for paint pods will scratch the enamel (see the 2 circles in red). I glued the label to the pot. That’s when I found 2 pots with label saying neon yellow even though they are not (only on one side; the other side has the correct color name). The white and silver shimmer labels are switched. Also, the apricot color is more pale pink than peach pink.After making the swatch, except some shimmer ones, colors don’t work for black stock at all. All the colors are more or less transparent. Lifting is just ok, most colors can’t be completely lifted.The sponge is standard issue. The sketch pad is small (5x7) but big enough to follow some youtubers to get started. 3 water brush pens are not that good (the smallest one the tip doesn’t stay sharp).Paint quality is student grade, ok for practice or card making. professional painters on commission probably won’t try to save money by using this.

Loved this set, vibrant colors. None of them were chalky. I like the variety in the shades available. The only con was each color was individually wrapped and it took forever to pop it out and remove the wrap. Can’t wait to get these on actual drawing paper. Worth the money in my opinion

I just love it. I bought it because I just started in skillshare classes. It is perfect. I also put it in my purse and take it everywhere. I even use it on lunch break at work. I love the colors, so bold. Beautiful. The paper in the book is amazing and the brushes and sponge. Very durable travel bag.

This is one of the best watercolor sets I have purchased. The colors are vibrant, the color lays down with sufficient thickness and opacity, and can be lightened well with extra water. I have my daughter using a set as well and, at 9, she is loving it.
