Great unit for the price!
I just received the unit last week and it is amazing! It automatically switches inputs when a device is active. Unfortunately it seems like it is always on and I cannot find an off switch anywhere. Though that's not an issue for me as it is in a place where the lights don't show much. I love this switch and it seems like it works amazingly. The other thing I would like to mention is that the PiP is too small to see anything. I would have liked to see it much bigger than it is.

Picture quality excellent
When I unpacked it, it felt cheap considering the premium cost and my heart sank a bit given the amount of switch boxes I have tried.I use it fir a PS4, the latest Apple TV 4K and an old NVR for my cctv.It works brilliantly! Quality of the picture is as good as a direct connection to the tv!Auto switching works well if you power off things first, so I turn off Apple TV then turn on ps4. Because I can’t turn off the NVR the switch box sticks on that input, so I have to manually switch channels. For picture quality alone I very happy with this product, other switch boxes have not support the resolution of my items!

Awesome HDMI Switcher! Can't do much better than this!
I bought this HDMI switcher to replace an ailing, dying one that I had been using for awhile. That one I picked up for less than half of the price of this one. Heck, I even picked up a spare too, because it was so cheap! But, that cost saving measure ended up being my demise, as they both died on me within a relatively short period, leaving me with no switcher, and a non-functional TV.I hopped back on Amazon to find a solid replacement, and came across this one. At a bit over twice the cost of my previous one, I had to think long and hard about whether or not I should buy this one. But eventually, I pulled the trigger and ordered it. When it arrived and got set up, I was amazed! For starters, the packaging on this thing is rock solid. It arrived packaged in a thick, solid, magnetically clasped cardboard box. There was absolutely no way that this thing was going to get damaged in shipping. And the thickness of the packaging box, plus the awesome magnetic clasps on the front of the box alone give me the impression that the product itself is going to be quality!Taking it out of the box, I was surprised with how light it was. There's really not much to the device, other than a plastic housing, with air holes on the sides to allow airflow to keep the device cool, LEDs on the front for indication, and the ports on the back. It's sleek and small (a bit bigger than a deck of cards). It has a set of rubber feet on the bottom to help it stand off the surface a bit, as well as to provide it with a bit of grip to stay put with the weight of the cables behind it.Speaking of cables - I LOVE that this has all of the cables plugged into the back of it! My other has ports scattered around all sides of it. This made it hard to run wire and place it in a corner somewhere. With this one, however, all the cables leaving the rear of the device made it much easier to store in a place out of the way, and to better manage the cables coming off of it.The indicator lights on the front are a great touch too. They're red if a powered device is plugged into the switch, and the red light turns blue when that input is selected as the source for video feed. In addition, the output LED turns off when the TV (or other output source) isn't turned on. I don't have any proof, but I suspect that this helps to keep the device cool, as it doesn't get warm when on for days at a time while the TV is turned off. My previous one would overheat, even if the TV wasn't on, as it was always constantly pumping the video feed through to the output, even if it wasn't needed, since the TV was off. Having this one indicate that the TV is off (and I suspect stop processing video feed during this time) is a great perk!Even better than my other, this one provides a nice Picture in Picture (PiP) capability as well! It's not a solid, 30-60 fps video feed in the PiP mode, but it's useful for what it's for - providing a visual indicator of what's going on with another input, in instances where you may need to switch back and forth between inputs. I've been using mine mainly to switch between an Android TV box, and my Windows PC, so this has been useful to see if any alerts have popped up on my PC that require attention. Being able to do this without having to actually switch between inputs is a great feature!Lastly, the wireless remote that comes with it does the job nicely. It's nothing fancy, and is roughly the same size and shape as many other HDMI switchers sold by Amazon. But this remote has support for the PiP feature, switching inputs directly, and even recalling back to the previous input. All in all, this device does what it's supposed to, and does it well! There's nothing flashy about it. You simply plug in your HDMI sources, tuck the device away, and use the remote to switch inputs as needed. It supports 4K / 3D 1080p, and is HDMI 1.4a compliant. One important point to note, however, is that due to the fact it's not HDMI 2.0, you will not be able to get a full 4K@60fps signal. You will be capped at the older, 4K@30fps feed. However, at 1080p, this thing will certainly do 1080p@60fps (and likely 1080p@120fps, but I can't test this, as I no longer have a 120hz capable monitor).I'm very satisfied with my purchase of this switcher, and am glad to have moved on past the crummy old one I used to have!

serves its simple purpose
it works well for single input monitors such as my case. I can easily switch between source inputs. I have to use this on a samsung tv with bad hdmi inputs on the back of the tv. I also use this on my monitor with only one hdmi source input available for convenience.
