⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great budget indoor security camera—so far, very impressed!
I recently bought the Tapo TC60 for home monitoring, and it’s been a fantastic surprise at this price point.👍 What I Love:Excellent 1080p image quality, crisp day and night vision up to ~30ft.Smart detection features like motion, person detection, even baby‑cry alerts—app notifications are quick and reliable. Two‑way talk works seamlessly, whether I’m chatting with my dog or checking in with family.Supports local storage via microSD (up to 512GB)—no subscription needed. I added a card and it records perfectly.Easy setup through the Tapo app; added it to Alexa in minutes.⚠️ Things to Keep In Mind:No pan/tilt feature—it’s fixed angle, so placement matters.App memory demands—some users note that large SD cards require occasional reboots if recording nonstop, though I haven’t had issues yet.Audio quality is mixed—mostly clear, but a few users mention minor distortion at times.💰 Worth the Price?Absolutely. It’s consistently rated well on UK Amazon as a great value, offering features you’d expect from more expensive cameras.📌 Final Verdict:If you're after a reliable, no-frills indoor security or pet/baby cam that works well with local storage and smart alerts, the Tapo TC60 is a smart pick. Great performance for the money, simple to use, and no subscription lock-in.

Great simple to use Camera
Great little camera. We use it to watch our guinea pigs when we're not at home. Simple to setup. The app is straightforward and works flawlessly, it allows you to record, take pictures and listen / speak through the camera. Well worth £15.

Best cameras for price, quality and features
Bought this camera and was so impressed with the quality and price, i bought another. I have a few outdoor security cameras too, iegeek, yi , septikon, and they all work ok but some have missing features found on these tapo cameras, i have 2 tapo doorbell cams, and now 2 indoor cameras, Tapo have all the features i need, Alexa, 24hr recording, sd card slot, easy setup, and none of the features hidden behind a paywall via subscription. I recommend Tapo cameras and in the future i will always look to buy them over other makes.

Good quality camera, reasonable price, some minor detection and app issues.
I bought this initially as my partner wanted to keep an eye on the birds in our garden that we feed. (It's lovely to watch and the food depletes so quickly so we wanted to work out how). I later bought another one that I used for our home office (to ensure nobody went in as there is confidential work stuff there). Some general observations (accurate at time of writing - July 2023):+ The camera is good quality and matches what you would expect for a camera of this value.+ Motion detection will notify your phone in realtime so you can immediately log on to see what is going on (all being possible remotely, as long as you have mobile internet/wifi).+ It is so easy to set up - even me (who has an aversion to instruction manuals, and zero common sense) could follow it.+ The speed is great - it's in real time, and there weren't any 'lags' or glitches.+ There is an app to view cameras (at least for iPhone) which is so easy to use. The layout shows all cameras that you have connected so you can swap between them.+ There's a helpful ball axis so you can angle the camera sideways, horizontally and vertically to your liking.+ The camera comes on a tiny secure stand and is virtually 'ready to go' on receipt.+ There are helpful settings so you can disable motion detection if you want to, specifically between certain times.+ You can add multiple cameras to your account in one handy place, and you can even 'share' cameras. So, you and a partner, for example, can link the same camera and view simultaneously.+ You can name separate cameras and link them very easily to your account.+ The date and time is listed on the screen so you can prove timings if recording is necessary.+ Overview on your account will enable you to see which cameras are 'online' and 'offline'.+ Troubleshooting help is available on the App easily.+ Wide lens to enable a larger range- Unfortunately there were some detection issues. Whilst tiny birds would set off the sensor on one, the other failed to detect a person coming into my home office. The same camera has since detected people, so I think it is a consistency issue rather than camera-specific defect.- I believe you have to pay to upgrade to store/record videos - although that's avoidable if you are quick to notice detection and do a screen recording on your iPhone.- Frustratingly, whilst you can turn off detection at specific times, you cannot modify the days. That can be an issue if you have yourself in the frame and you want to monitor your office all the time that you are not there, but you are not there all day on a specific day, because you can only choose times to turn off detection. You have to manually change it (and remember to - that's the big issue!)- If you have a camera that is linked to somebody else's, and you subsequently add another, it will link yours to their account too. That can be irritating as notifications will go to both when movement is detected, when you may be the only one who wants to see both cameras, and them, one.- Notification settings are shared, so if your fellow viewer disables them, they become disabled on yours without warning. That can be frustrating, and similarly, if one phone was to go AWOL, it would be easier for privacy invasion.- When using 4G on the App I have had issues with connections, and it is therefore not the most consistent/reliable support.

These are great for home security!
The Tapo Mini Smart Security Camera is an excellent choice for reliable home monitoring. I’ve bought three of them and set them up with movement detection to keep an eye on anyone near my house or yard, and they’ve worked flawlessly. The video quality is sharp, even at night, thanks to the clear infrared night vision.Setting them up was simple—just a quick connection to Wi-Fi and the Tapo app, and they were ready to go. The motion detection feature is highly responsive, sending instant alerts to my phone whenever there’s movement. The app makes it easy to check live feeds or review recorded footage, giving peace of mind whether at home or away. Adding an SD card allows me to record the video and check it later. For a compact, affordable, and effective security solution, the Tapo Mini Smart Camera is a great investment. It’s easy to use, delivers clear video, and adds an extra layer of security to any home.
