Cassida Omni-ID 2-in-1 Currency Counterfeit Detector with UV Identification Verification Lights – Bill Checker with Infrared, Magnetic and Ultraviolet Sensors - Easy to Read PASS/FAIL Display

I have 5 of these units between my two restaurants, one unit which I purchased about 45 days ago, the fail light does not work, because this SHOULD be under the warranty I contacted Cassida regarding a replacement. However, it has been over a week and now they are requiring me to mail back the defective unit first (frustrating but okay) but they also want me to mail it back in the original shipping box and retail box with manual, cord and everything. I do not keep boxes for every piece of equipment I purchase, this would be unreasonable. So I am hoping they make an exception but please BEWARE of their less than stellar customer service should you have an issue. Other than this unit, one other unit which is probably outside of warranty no longer beeps. So overall I am unhappy with their quality control and will be purchasing these from a different manufacturer in the future.

if you are pizza delivery driver as me you can understand how easy to life with this machines.I was looking for portable counterfeit detector in my car for check cash bills when i was doing my pizza delivery work.My honest detail review;After i make little search on web and read a lot of good and bad reviews i decided to choose Cassida brand.Item is lighter and smaller than what i was thinking this is very good because you can even put inside of pocket of your hoodie.When i was ordering this item i was thinking to i can use with converter in my car during delivery times and when i received item i see that it is already created with battery slot! whichone makes me very happy! (For Portable use battery is not include but you can buy easily)Detector is real fast, just show it bills in it and shorter than a second checking will be done.Detector lights real bright, very easy to use even night darker time you can use easily.Till this time im actively using this detector and never had any issue even wrinkle bills.I had a chance during this time to try for $1, $2, $5, $10, $20, $50, $100 and no issue. (Even very wrinkled bills)Before i buy this detector i read some bad reviews about detecting issue, i think seller improved this detector somehow because everyday actively using 6-7 hours and still working well.

This machine doesn’t detect following:- people erase $1, $5 bills and print $100 on it. looks real. but the stripes in the bill is missing or it doesn’t glow pink when UV light is passed through. Not happy with it.

I bought 3 of this machine. I thought they would be accurated as in description but they were not. I put the same $20 bill into the machine 5 times. 3 times it showed that it was passed and another 2 times fail. My customer was upset with us when the machine found their $20 bill fail even it was the real money. So disappointed!

I am amending my previous 1-Star review. Andy Jones, Cassida's new Technical Service Manager is GREAT! He looked at the open service ticket, where they wouldn't honor the warranty, and retroactively honored it. He personally brought me a new unit and took away the old unit. If their service had been like this from the start, they would have all 5-star ratings, I'm sure. They admitted there was an issue with the old units (2018 and before) that has now been corrected. My contact with Andy has restored my confidence in Cassida. So, I'm giving them a 4. Sorry, I had to take something off for the previous hassle...Bought this for my store. Easy to set up, easy to use...then it quit working after only 2 months. It would fail EVERY bill. I contacted Customer Support and was told it just needed to be cleaned. I followed their instructions and no change. I contacted Customer Support again, after 3 or 4 more tries, they said it just needed to be cleaned (again). It has now been 7 months since I bought it, I can't use it, Cassida won't honor their warranty. Piece of crap equipment from a fraudulent company. Save your money, buy something else!
