Works Well For My Needs - Recommended
This Quik Shade GO Hybrid Backpack Canopy is exactly what I wanted for use during the outdoor training classes we run in the Summer. Our group classes can take up to 2-hours outside and there can be long gaps of down-time without natural shade, so this quick shelter has provided welcome relief from the hot sun. Here are my observations:Pros -+ Easy Setup; takes less than 5-minutes with two people working on it (can be done by yourself, just takes longer)+ Size; easily fits four folding chairs under the canopy+ Take Down; takes less than 5-minutes to fold and pack up, with two people working on it+ Shade; the back panel makes a big difference over standard pop-up tents+ Back Pack; this is well made and easy to get the tent in and out ofCons -- Light Weight; the metal supports are very thin and would not likely stand much abuse (don't force anything when setting up or taking down)Misc -* Back Panel; this is attached and is not movable other than by moving the entire tent* Short; this is not tall enough for folks over 5' 10" to stand under, we knew this when ordering so it was expected* Not For Rain; instructions clearly advise not to use in rain or high windsOverall, this was a good choice for my needs!Recommended!CFH

Perfect for 1 Person at a Dog Show
I didn't want to get an EZ-Up to take to agility competitions (too bulky) but my Lightspeed was trapping too much heat. So I bit the bullet and purchased one of these.1. Ease of transport - FANTASTIC. It's super light and can be worn as a backpack.2. Ease of set-up - PRETTY DARN GOOD. I usually do it myself. It's easier with two but totally doable for one person. The instructions make sense.3. Size - Great for one person/one dog (or a couple of small dogs). It's 6x6 whereas most canopies are 10x10. The one thing I didn't expect is that it's much shorter than typical EZ ups so doesn't get as much cross breeze, but at the same time the height (or lack thereof) makes it easier to set up. However - you have to duck to get under it otherwise you'll hit your head!4. Price - Not all that much cheaper than an EZ up but enough of a cost savings... and I was trying to save on convenience, not price.5. Sturdiness - there are 4 stakes - last time around I only had time to put one in and it still worked nicely.Overall, I'm very happy with this canopy! It's great if you don't need it for several people and have a small car.

This was perfect for what I wanted for a week on the ...
This was perfect for what I wanted for a week on the lake in Tahoe- light weight, easy to carry, and easy to set up all by myself. Unfortunately, because it is lightweight, I left it up on my beach overnight and a quick wind and rain storm blew through that took it in the air and completely mangled it. So I did not get to enjoy it very long ;-(. It will not stand up to wind, so caution is in order there. It would be good if they added some hooks and bags that could be filled with rocks or sand to help keep it in place during windier weather. But the point is being so portable, you can't have everything. For purely sun protection in good weather, it is great.

A little information left out
I first have to say that I have not used this item yet, and won't until summer, and it looks OK on inspection. My complaint stems from the fact that in the instructions it states that it should not be used in the rain. This was a surprise to me since nowhere in any descriptions of it either on Quik Shade's site or on Amazon is this mentioned. I pretty much assumed that a canopy could provide protection from sun or mild rain, and intended to use it in situations where both might occur. I wouldn't keep it up in severe wind conditions, but the idea that it should never be used in any rain was a surprise. I called Quik Shade, and the prepared response of customer service was that it should not be used in rain, and any damage if used in rain would not be warrantied.(Since the warranty is only 30 days, this isn't going to matter.) I did check the material by pouring water on it and it seemed to repel it quite effectively, so I am hopeful this won't be an issue in the event that it starts to rain when I am using it. The price was right, and it seemed to be the size I wanted, so I will definitely keep it and hope for the best. I hope on use it may deserve 5 stars.

This quick shade was excellent, lightweight convenient and easy to carry
This quick shade was excellent, lightweight convenient and easy to carry. The canopy is just big enough for two adults to sit in lawn chairs. However, this canopy only lasted approximately 6 mos. One of the height setting buttons in one of the legs broke inside the aluminum leg - causing the one leg to get stuck when collapsing for storage. I was able to use the canopy only a few times, using some extra effort to pull the leg out, and push it back in each time. The leg eventually became so difficult to pull out and push back in, I had to use hand tools to pull the leg out, and then I could not get the leg to collapse back into the leg without using a hammer. Not worth the effort anymore. I will stick with my EZ Up brand canopy.

Moderately happy with purchase
It's light and short. I'm 5'2" and even I have repeatedly banged my head on this. After two uses one leg is very difficult to retract back. I was warned by the previous purchasers but am still moderately happy considering the cost, weight and size. It's perfect size for me to haul in my SUV and bring to my kids' soccer games. I can set up and put away by myself. Enough shade for me to sit in a chair and spread a blanket for my little children to play in the shade. I love the side shade that comes down on one side for extra shade.

Portable & Light...Cute.
I have 3 typical canopies already - 1 10x10 Quik Shade Weekender Canopy, 1 10x10 First-Up Canopy, 1 EZ-Up 10x10 Slanted Leg. However, I got this for it's portability & lightness to carry with you on your back. It's good for 2-3 people to share. The bad: The legs are very delicate compared to the larger canopies. The price too should be around $50.00-$ 60.00 bucks - not $70.00 or more in my opinion. But I gave it a 4 out of 5 star rating anyway - because it's cute.
