Wheatgrass Thrives—And So Do My Cats!
I bought this soil specifically to grow wheatgrass indoors for my cats, and it’s been a total win. The texture is light and fluffy, making it easy to plant and water without compacting. Within days, the wheatgrass sprouted strong and vibrant, and it’s stayed lush thanks to the soil’s excellent moisture retention. The blend of organic ingredients—like earthworm castings and bat guano—clearly gives the grass a nutrient boost. My cats absolutely love nibbling on it, and I feel good knowing it’s grown in high-quality, pH-balanced soil.If you’re growing wheatgrass or any indoor greens, this is hands-down the best soil I’ve used. No fuss, no additives needed—just open the bag and plant. Highly recommended for pet parents and plant lovers alike!

Great soil
The texture is light and airy, which makes it really easy for roots to spread and breathe. It already comes with a good balance of nutrients, so I don't have to fertilize right away. It is a little more expensive than some other options, but the results make it worth it.

Will only buy this soil!!!!
Only trust FoxFarm anywhere near my soil!!!! I'm someone who knows nothing about gardening. I barely got into it like 6 months ago, and somehow managed to grow this. I firmly believe by having a good base of soil it set me up for success. Bought this produce twice now, and will buy it againAlthough, I do notice I have tiny bugs in my soil. I'm not sure if it's from this soil, or the FoxFarm jump start fertilizer, or what. Either way, I don't mind bc my plants are thriving, and I kinda think having some bugs in there helps to keep them healthier anyway

Nice and nutrient dense for your houseplants
Good price point and the soil works well with mixing for a chunky soil or using it on its own.

BEAUTIFUL Dark black soil, nothing like I've ever seen!!! WOW!
BEAUTIFUL soil!!! Wow, just gorgeous. I never knew soil could look so good. When I poured out the soil it left me breathless, seriously it's like the super model of soils. I took a picture to show but my camera does not do it justice so I didn't post. The soil is so dark I would call it black, with a splash of specks of beautiful reddish-brown and white specks. The soil is silky soft with enough tiny bits of textured pieces I don't knot if it's shell or wood but just adds to the beauty.I am surprised at all the negative comments - shame on you! They must be from so called competitors because there's no competition!.What I like best is that the soil is so dark every plant growing from it pops! I have used this soil on a brand new herb garden, my money tree, snake plants, actually removed the top layer of ugly dirty dirt from my other indoor plants (it looked like someone dug dirt from their backyard) and replaced it with this. ALL MY PLANTS ARE DOING AMAZING... and I don't have a green thumb until now ;) THANK YOU FOXFARM. AMAZING!!!

Dependable soil
Pretty decent soil. Great size of bag for indoor growers. I don’t see any fungus or anything that shouldn’t be there. It does have a lot of white thingys for water retention but I prefer less honestly. Hence one star off. Overall good dependable soil.

Plants love it!
My houseplants love it! I mix with perlite and orchid bark for a chunky mix. Haven't had a fungus gnat problem since I started using it - about a year now.

Best soil for houseplants
So many people make custom mixes of soil for fancy houseplants but that's not necessary with this, it's a perfect amount of nutrients but light enough so I haven't had any problems with root rot, which I used to kill so many plants from. Now they're thriving.
