Works great
This has been great all summer And last summer also . I have ac in my other rooms except my home office and I used this all summer on my desk. it doesn’t cool the room down but it cools me down while I’m on my computer ! I use ice cubes and cold water on the top section and always get the filter wet again and freeze it for next time! Definitely been great I recommend it for a desk!

Don’t waste your money. It doesn’t actually work.
Maybe I’m mentally challenged or something, but I followed the instructions for this thing and did what I was supposed to do as far as I can tell and it didn’t do anything. It just pathetically wheezed out some fine mist and that was it. No cap. The so called fan didn’t blow any air out of it or anything it legit just hissed and nothing more. So yeah, it’s very quiet. Suuuuuuuper quiet. Because nothing happens when the fan is on. Nothing but fine mist creeping out of it. And the mist isn’t cold either. I don’t know how you’re supposed to get cooled off just by looking at a creepy fine mist leaking out of a useless contraption but…ok. If that’s how it’s supposed to work I must be doing something wrong. I did not get cooled off by looking at the mist. I must be broken. Oh, and don’t even think about using it without freezing the filter or adding ice because then it becomes even more useless than it already is. Wait, those things don’t actually help. Lmao my bad. It doesn’t work no matter what you do. But hey, if I just happened to get a defective product and that’s why nothing happened when I used mine I will gladly retract my review and post a new one. Maybe mine was just defective? I hope that’s the case because I would hate for other people to also spend money on this thing if it doesn’t actually do anything.

Cool, but very loud and bright
With a couple of sweltering heat spells in the Pacific Northwest this summer, it was nice to have an option to the full house AC unit to quickly cool off small spaces (i.e. bedrooms or my office). I received two of these units yesterday and the initial review is as follows:PROS:Very easy to use - wet/freeze the filter and fill tub with water (to inidicator line) and then turn it on and face it towards the direction you want to cool off.It worked well - with 3 settings (High, Med, Low) you can choose how strong you want it. I had it on Med on a nighstand next to my bed last night and could feel the cool breeze throughout the night. I didn't have on the ceiling fan or the house AC unit and my room was very comfortable throughout the night.CONS:NOISE!!! - This little bugger is LOUD for a small fan. Had to resort to earplugs to dampen most of the sound.BRIGHT! - Maybe I'm not the target audience for a small, portable AC fan that lights up like a rave, but I wish one of the options would be to turn the lights OFF. In an otherwise pitch black bedroom, this was very bright. I guess it wouldn't be so bad during the day... but then again why would you need lights on it during the day.My daughter complained of the noise and brightness too (I bought 2 of these... one for each of us) so I know I'm not the only one with this opinion. I'll keep it on hand throughout the rest of the summer and likely use it in my office during any remaining hot days of summer before retiring it to storage until next year where I'll likely look for one without such bright lights. Otherwise, for the price it appears to really help address the main problem... Fighting the HEAT!

It is effective in keeping you cool. I
I was skeptical at first hard to believe it could do as it says, I was anxious to try it out after watching a review show on you tube about theese small personal coolers, I learned they are NOT A/C units They are evaporative coolers and work like a swamp cooler,, It definatley does cool you off I often have to turn it off because I get too cold,,but it does not cool off the room much if at all,, it does work great if it's close to you and pointed at you,,,I rated it low like that because of some things it doesn't do as said, like the water chamber/ holder can last all day, not for me it would last a long time but I had to fill it more than one time a day, I did 2 times if on all day,, the other reason I rated it low is because of how loud it is, It is so loud, but luckily I'm not bothered by noise, but I can see alot of people having a issue with how loud it is its a loud swoosh blowing air with mechanical sound,, I don't know if you have heard a cpap machine turned on with out putting it on your face it sounds like that but louder, I Love the nite light and diffrent colors and I like that it has 3 settings, high, medium and low,, I do love this little cooler and have been using it every day since I purchased it,, another thing I read because it's a evaporative cooler you need to have a window open near for the?? to escape? You will have to read up on that I don't understand how some things work but I get what there trying to say, so opening a window obviously isn't going to help keep the room cool, but it will definatley cool you off, also I like how light weight and easy it is to bring with you if your going to family or friends,, and they are not hot like you ( are all the time) or they don't have a/c or a fan,, so it's very convenient and has a very long cord,
