Does the top sit over the stick of butter without sticking to the butter? Noticed this complaint in reviews of other butter dishes.

It does not. The butter sits in the dish perfectly. The size of the bottom is perfect for a quarter pound of butter stick.

I cant figure out the internal dimensions so not sure if butter of following size would fit - 5.2 " X 3.2"X 2.5"

Internal measurements are: 5 3/4 inches long, 2 7/16 inches wide, and 2 inches high at the middle and highest point. The top is arched so the height of the sides is shorter and measures 1 5/8 inches. It easily holds a Land of Lakes quarter pound of butter.

Though measurements were listed several mention one stick & I use 1/2 pound blocks of Kerrygold butter which is 2 1/2" wide. Will those fit? Thanks

The inside measurement of the cover is just at 2 1/2 inches. The butter will rub against the new block of butter.Just cut the butter so it doesn't rub the cover.
