Great value for new painters and veterans alike.
Shopping for a miniature paint set can be a daunting task especially when you are on a budget. There were several things that I truly appreciated about this kit that will appeal to new painters especially but even to veterans.First and foremost, this kit includes what we call the "entire primary color wheel". Unlike some painting sets, you can see that not only does it include a good solid blue, red, and yellow, but it also includes a black and white. Simple things, yes, but ones that are often overlooked in kits like these.2. These include full 18mm bottles, double the size of those found in the "official DnD" kits, albeit, without the cool owlbear to paint.3. The set also includes all the secondary colors (orange, purple and green) as well as a nice brown and tan and a standard flesh color (all of which you could blend by yourself but why bother when its done for you?). With the addition of a gold and silver and the ink washes, you can see that for the money this is quite a comprehensive and well thought-out set.4. The brushes are simple yet well-made and the 20 mixing balls are perfect for the 18 included paints (and 2 empty bottles to make your own colors) ensuring well blended and consistent paints.5. Did I mention dropper bottles? (Once you go dropper you never go back to pots).P.s. I recommend buying a simple acrylic brush set (making sure it includes a drybrush) and some sort of cheap palette if you dont already own one.

Excellent starter set for the price
I've recently started the hobby of miniature painting, and found The Army Painter to be an appealing brand since their paints are advertised as non-toxic and seem to be good quality for the cost. I think that this starter kit is much better than what The Army Painter offers, themselves. I'm not sure what the relationship between Wargames Delivered and The Army Painter is (distributor maybe?) but I'm really glad that they made this starter set of Army Painter paints. It has most colors that I have needed on their own, with only a bit of mixing needed sometimes for certain shades I wanted. I like that it includes two wash options (super helpful for beginners like me trying to get shading to look okay) and metallic paint. The varnish is also helpful too for protecting the hard work put in to painting. So far in painting my Scythe miniatures, I haven't needed to get any other paints. It might seem a little pricey, but for what you get, I think $50 is a pretty good deal. I'd recommend this to anyone wanting to start miniature painting!

Paint Something
This was one of my first purchases of paint to use with miniatures. The company is well known for their great products. This is a good set especially for a beginner to get a lot to start with. Really not great for bigger project because you will go through the paints pretty quick.

So glad I bought the bundle
I just started my journey on painting miniatures and I am loving it.I heard that Army was the great product to start with. So I did some research and decided this was what I wanted. The price is just higher than others and that made me search more. After getting them and using them, I think its more worth the price than I thought before my purchase. If this didn't come with paint brushes, I would have been having a really hard time with my miniatures. The paint brushes I bought to assist me are horrible and they were frayed and unevenly cut. So they were trash out the box.I have purchased Wilderness Adventures DnD Acrylic Paint Set with 20 Warpaints, and the Wargames Delivered Starter Set Miniature Painting Kit/Wargames Delivered Hobby Miniature Painting Kit bundle and this one. And the odd thing is, there is no standard or dark brown in any of them. So I had to make it. which is fine. I have been mixing many colors to get the look I want and learn how to paint well. The paint is smooth and one drop goes a long way. Especially if you use a Wet Palette. I used Kreapa-Wet palette and it even has a brush holder in it. And it's been great.I love this hobby and I just started. I wouldn't go for the cheapest ones because it seems if you do, you may not get the joy of the hobby you want because of paint or brush issues.
