This thing is great for keeping the sun off your neck, but I would make it a little shorter or, better yet, put notches in the bottom so that it better drapes over a person's neck. Right now it "stacks" a little too much.

- -Update- -I cannot tell if it’s actually wool. It does not feel like any other wool I’ve used. No pilling. No shedding. No fuzzy fibers. But I still use it all the time and it’s wearing very well so I’m keeping the rating high. I hand wash it and hang it dry.- -original review- -This is very good neck gaiter. I’m quite pleased with it. At first I was disappointed that it seemed too big. Some reviewers said it was too small and constrictive. I’m 6’ and weigh 160lbs. After using it for a while I learned how to properly wear it in different ways. It fits me perfectly.I wear it as a hat most nights and as a mask during the day to comply with masking policies. To keep it up as a mask I added a small rubber band on the back of the neck. This keeps it from falling down. I don’t see it as a design flaw as it works perfectly in other ways like a hat, Balaclava, etc.the wool seems extremely soft and pleasant. It’s like a good 60/40 cotton/poly t-shirt. I’ve washed it a few times and even put it in the dryer to see if it would shrink. So far it’s holding up nicely.

The item is not comfortable unlike others made from same material.

There's enough wool here to keep your neck and face warm and the fabric is stretchy enough to cover your face without sliding down. Works well in -10, -15. Unsure how well it works at lower temps. It's a thin fabric which makes it ideal for wearing underneath an aviator/hunter hat and lets you button/zip your coat all the way to the top as some synthetic neck tubes are typically to bulky. It says olive grove and olive green is the colour you get. I was hoping for a colour closer to brown/tan but alas that colour was not available. Canadian company but outsourced manufacture (China, Thailand)
