Hours of fun with warning!
The instruction book didn’t work for airplane diagram “A” on the tail piece. Had to modify. My 4 year old son who is very inclined in engineering blocks and the like couldn’t follow the book without help. I helped with a lot of the construction of the plane. BUT free play options are ENDLESS. LOTS of pieces = blessing and probably curse. The nuts and bolts are small- avg marble size/smaller than a dime in diameter. So I wouldn’t recommend for under 4 or a 4 that likes to mouth toys. The plastic pieces are thin but similar to original LEGO quality- they won’t break as easily as a McDonald toy but not as sturdy as a mega block. For $26 a clear storage box would have been nice VS a black paper/fabric drawstring sac. I will get him a tackle box or caboodle with dividers. Our older 6’s and 8yo love it too.

Lots of pieces to make different things
It isn't as easy as it looks. I bought this thinking it'd be a nice toy to play with my daughter. It actually requires some planning. For instance, we were building the warrior machine and it is easier to build legs and arms separately before putting them together with the body. Also I noticed the diagram showed different color screw than the red ones we got. We were able to figure it out but it was kind of confusing at first glance. Also all parts are neatly packaged in plastic but once you open them, it'd be a pain trying to sort them without a separate container to separate the parts. The experience of building is well worth the money. It's something you can have fun while playing with your kids. The satisfaction of being able to share the fun with your loved one is priceless.

my child loves these
At first I questioned the quality, but as I sat and played with my son I began to understand why they are a bit thinner. These aren't meant to be adult tight. The pieces are thin so they can bend and we are able to create more this way. I originally tried to think of REAL tools and fasteners to make something similar but this truly is an amazing option for kids who love to build and create. This is something I bought for my 5 year old, my 9 year old was playing, and I myself even enjoyed. Dad's could easily sit and tinker and bond over building with children as well. There is no doubt in my mind we will be building prototypes for school projects with these. They are fantastic. They also include enough pieces for multiple builds at a time which for my household is great, we like to see how many we can build at a time.

Size and thickness
Online it seems like these toys are as big and bulky as the other similar toys seem online. However, the plastic is thinner and the pieces are a lot smaller except the wheels. They are a nice big size.. The pieces like screws and bolts are small. Not appropriate for toddlers unless under supervision, if your child is late 3 to 4 years old and up. The box recommends for ages 6+.The third picture I have another similar toy juxtaposed that is appropriate for ages 3+. This toy is smart wallaby 101pc. Screws well. I have yet to use the simulation part. Also the plastic is thin and so it is bendabale but if you bend too much it will show stretching and break.

Waste of money....cool concept but falls short of expectations.
Look, this seems awesome, should offer creative growth, and expand the imagination. Unfortunately, my kids and I found this set to be a real pain in the hands.Instructions: 1-star. Virtually useless instructions, and overwhelming for young kids. Viewing angles shown are not helpful, and sometimes are practically impossible to see. I also found places where the instruction is impossible and i had to reverse parts or be creative to make it work. Incorrectly displayed parts is not good for the young kids.Pieces: 2-stars. I had a few of the nuts and bolts come warped. Additionally, most of the nuts will not stay tightly fastened. This was frustrating in our first build with the motorcycle, but extremely irritating for the more complex robot since everything keeps working loose and falling apart while assembling other sections. My son (extremely talented lego designer) was so irritated that he gave up within 15 minutes.Tools: 3 - stars. Other reviewers complained there are not enough tools. I argue the screwdriver handle is useless, and 2 drills should be included if used for multiple kids. In my case, I think kids younger than 8 need adult assistance anyway, so one drill and wrench were sufficient. Often times however, the wrench will not fit insidd a red joint with multiple bolts facing the middle. Just not enough room. Now pucture middle sections of the robot, and the only thing you can do is tighten nuts over and over with fingers. This was extremely annoying. See my complaints about the parts again.Overall impression: 2-stars. The thought is tracking in the right direction, but seriously, I would suggest this to a bored 10 year old. Not a 3 or 4 year old such as in the picture. The worst part is that the nuts keep working loose and it will not stay tight. My kids hate it now, even though it seemed promising in the first 5 minutes. Total bust. Save your money for something better that actually has good instructions for starter ideas, and pieces actually work as advertised and stay connected.Failed Christmas gift. No, I do not recommend this product. I wish it had free returns. In my robot pics, we never finished buildig it. Kids wanted nothing more to do with it. I got sick of it after trying to get close to completion and decided instead to post a review. There is a bolt missing on the right side of the hip. That already fell out. You can see how limp the bot is even after i have tightened everything at least 10 times.
