my opening is 9'-3" x 17'-4". what size shade do I need to order using the sunshade installation kit?

The 10' X20' might be too big for this area unless you have room to pull every corner of the shade. The shade only has 4 "D rings" and nothing in the middle so you have to have room to pull the corners tight. Good luck.

What is the length of the metal assembly from wall corner to shade eyelet?

My sail doesn't have an eyelet, but it is about 7 inches from the post and the metal loop on the end of the sail. That was the tightest we were able to get it. They are working good for us.

Can this hardware attach to vinyl siding?

Not sure, I would check the vinyl siding if the material is strong enough. I had drilled mine onto a solid wood bar and it held well. The kit has enough parts to secure just one sun shade. The tools are very sturdy. I’m glad to have purchased two sets.

Works nicely.

Used today to put up sun shade. Parts are sturdy. Tighten shade up. Had more than enough parts. Time will tell just how sturdy. But I'm really happy with purchase of these.

Solid kit

So far so good. Only ended up using the d-ring portion of it, however you are given quite a few different options on how you want to set your tarp/sun shade/ canvas up. Hoping the hardware will survive the winter.

Products is pretty sturdy and of decent quality. The screws are trash but never thought they would be great. So far no rust, and the silver color is still holding up. The size is perfect for small jobs of light weight. Easy to use and works well. Good value for the money. Easy to remove and use!

I had gone to home depot to purchase similar hardware and it ran over 100$. While some of the screws were not straight and stripped easily, I would still highly recommend.
