Fine BLACK TEA with a morning kick
I just LOVE this tea. I alternate between BRITISH BREAKFAST and this LUCKY IRISH BREAKFAST.Personally, I just feel lucky to have them BOTH in our collection. We LOVE the Republic of Tea line, so no surprise that this one would also satisfy. Might seem a bit odd for a small household to have hundreds of kinds of teas... but we do. We're not a restaurant; just a small family who all LOVE TEA and although many people aren't tea drinkers, we do like offering guests tea when they visit. Usually for cautious sometime-tea drinkers, it goes something like this:- "Would you like some tea?"- "I guess so... What flavor do you have?"- "Well, probably just about anything you can think of. What did you have in mind, or what have you liked having before?"And we can almost ALWAYS satisfy any curiosity or craving, from any kind of tea they've heard of or would like to try... black to green to white; herbal, or blends like ginger, Indian chai or even Korean ginseng. It's quite rare that anyone specifically asks for IRISH BREAKFAST, let alone LUCKY IRISH BREAKFAST, but we'll now have it as an offering, should the occasion arise, and if a guest says "Oh, whatever you're having"... it just may well be LUCKY IRISH BREAKFAST BLACK TEA, any time of the day or night! It's a tasty stout blend of flavor and aroma, welcome at my table any day, any time! For us hosts, REPUBLIC OF TEA teas have those wonderful feeling cans, filled with lovely little round pillows of flavorful delight and aromatic deliciousness. Yes, I know: sounds like we're Republic of Tea representatives or something... But no. Just HUGE FANs of their entire line of TEAS, as well as their PACKAGING!!If you're looking for another BLACK tea, but not just any black tea... give LUCKY IRISH BREAKFAST a try. It's another fine choice from the REPUBLIC of TEA line... with which, of course, you can never go wrong!

Great cup of tea!
The flavor, aroma and value are wonderful!Tin is pretty and has a poem to cheer you up while your bag steeps. Perfect strength - no need for sweetener or milk to tamp down, as there is no acidic/tannin taste.

Fresh IS high quality!
this is an excellent tea - fresh and vibrant - personally it's more flavorful that English Breakfast - but that's designed to stand up to cream and sugar.... try this if you're feeling lucky...

Great Tea
I love this tea. I used to drink English Breakfast until I came across Irish. It’s bolder. My one cup in the morning is very satisfying for my day. I appreciate the packaging.

I was a Twinnings tea drinker for years, but this is a much fuller bodied tea.
I was a Twinnings Tea drinker for years, but this tea has a much fuller body and smoother flavor. I’m also a fan of the Earl Greyer and the British Breakfast Tea this company.

Good flavor but VERY light body - have to use two tea bags to get a decent brew
My favorite tea is Irish Breakfast. I used to buy my tea in NYC at a great old shop on Christopher Street called McNulty's. The owner was my guide that got me to appreciate the nuances of various kinds of tea leaves ( I was a Lipton guy). He gave me a couple to try and I settled on Assam as my favorite. He then explained that Assam is the main ingredient in Irish Breakfast teas like the one from Twinings. Always looking for new experiences, I tried this variety and found it tasty but it makes a very light (taste and color) tea. To get a rich color and body, it takes two of the round baggies. Not sure if that's normal for this brand.Good flavor but requires double the expected number of tea bags to get a rich, full bodied brew.
