Great easy driver
I have had this dvd driver before, they work well with playing movies. Not sure about adding information to a computer because i have never use these dvd drivers for that. Its portable, light weight, easy to carry with you anywhere. The seller was great, shipped it fast. The only issue was that i felt like it need more packaging because the box of the driver was bang up pretty good. But with that being said it still work

Not fast enough for heavy use.
Bought this to use on my laptop that doesn’t have a disc drive. I quickly replaced it with an used plug in the wall drive. If you’re interested in playing CDs and DVDs, this will do the job. If you want to rip and burn discs, you’ll be wasting a lot of time waiting for it to complete. Speeds ranged from 2.4-6x for me.

Even with latest drivers, DVD device DOES NOT WORK
Product description says it comes with installation CD. It does not. I had to download drivers off the internet. Even with drivers, device does not work. I have spent several days trying different drivers and updates and nothing gets this thing to read disks. Absolutely unacceptable.

Great product, works with Mac Mini as a superdrive.
Decent product, would have preferred a slot-load drive but those were terribly expensive so this had to do.Plugs directly into a Mac Mini and worked like a charm, although the drive feels kind of cheap and the drive-tray was VERY flimsy. Will have to be very careful with it.Amazon tossed it into an envelope for shipping so it arrive kind of beat up, but luckily the drive wasn't damaged even thought the envelope had holes in it, and the LG box itself was smashed up a bit.

Great Product - awesome price
Great deal for the price. My new company laptop does not come with a DVD drive, so this was a perfect option, plug and play!

cheaply made, not sturdy, did not work on Win 10
The drive is cheaply made, and is not sturdy, it flexes very easily when putting in a disk or removing when it sticks on the center post. It would not respond on Win10. I returned the item. This is a low cost drive, and as the old adage states you get what you pay for. LG is normally a good drive. I have a similar LG drive that has worked for several years. I did not replace this driver with another LG drive.
