I purchased one of their XXL (60x79) for use in my home office at an L shaped desk. It was easy to place on the carpet and stayed in place without any issues. It has worked great for over a year and then I noticed some cracking in a heavily used area. I reached out to their customer service since it has a generous warranty, and to my complete shock, they were very responsive and replaced the floor mat with little effort on my part. In today's world it can be hard to find good customer service and many companies require you to jump through so many hoops for warranties that you end up giving up due to fatigue. FloorTex was outstanding - so easy to work with, so quick, so painless. Without their warranty this is a good value for a chairmat - add in their great customer service and great warranty and this is a no brainer of a purchase. I also appreciate that they have larger sizes!

This is a review of the Floortex Cleartex Ultimate XXL Polycarbonate General Office Mat for All Pile Carpets, 60" x 79", Rectangular, Clear (FR1115020023ER), not to be confused with the other related items.We expanded our home office via a larger desk layout, and needed a bigger/sturdier mat to replace a tired old one that was severely cracked in the middle of it, which also had the feature of creating "wheel valleys" when sitting in one place too long (by a 250lb person). The carpeting in the office is low-pile.I'm pleased to report that this new mat seems to be the ideal replacement. It came rolled in the box, but was easy to unroll and had no "memory" of the rolled state. It is also sturdy, without wheel valleys after sitting in place - I can roll to another position, and not feel an indentation left in the old one. Chair travel across the mat is uniform and smooth.The only thing I can't report on is the durability, since we've only had the mat for a couple of days. I can't imagine how/why the mat would have durability problems with the sturdiness it has, but I'll still reserve judgement on that until we've used it for a year or so. In the event it has problems, I'll come back and update this review.

Totally recommend this mat. Worth every penny. Perfect size and it's tough!Update: 9 months later...this mat has cracked up in the center where it gets most use. I am so very disappointed. It was shipped to me rolled up in a box. I do not recommend.

This thing is great, but please pay attention to the warning about it being under pressure. I cut my hand when I removed the plastic wrap holding it in place. Not blaming the company at all, there was a clear warning. I just underestimated exactly how much force was involved. Again, great product, nice and firm chair rolls like a dream.

the number one thing i will stress is this - DO NOT OPEN UNLESS YOU ARE SURE. this thing was almost next to impossible for me to roll back up and lasso to get it into the box - so get a set or two of extra hands to help you test it out and then have them on standby to help you wrestle the thing back into the box. covid19 and all i did it by myself and it took me 4 hours to get it tight enough to fit in the box but that was a battle - i bear the scars on my fingers and arms . . . and let me tell you the studs didn't help much either - landed on those a couple of times and i may have to go to confession for the things i said. so be sure you want it before you order and be sure you want it before you break the strap that holds it together. seems fairly sturdy otherwise - just wouldn't let my chair roll!

This mat is perfect for what I needed. It is used in my daughters room under her desk and crafting area. I bought it to prevent her crafting glue/paints getting on my new carpet. It came in perfect condition, rolled up and once opened immediately flattened out. Some have said it divots from the wheels of their chair where they sit, but no one has ever stated their weight with those comments. My daughter is only 8 and 55 lbs, so we haven’t had any issues. I’ve also sat in her chair for awhile (145lbs) and haven’t had any issues with it warping. Very durable. This is not a soft mat, it is more of a hard plastic material.

16 months after purchase, and after using this item on normal carpet, it has cracked. Nothing unmanageable yet, but it has cracked which is noteworthy in that not cracking is one of the product's features. With that said, everything else about this has been great. It immediately laid flat and has stayed in place.

I love this chair mat. We installed beautiful new carpet in our office that are the low nap carpet tiles and the installer recommended I use a chair mat. I read the reviews and some people complained it cracked quickly or didn't work well on their carpet but I decided to buy it anyway because it was the exact size we needed to be able to roll between 2 work stations. It is great!! Clear, rigid, easy to roll across smoothly, hasn't shifted. The price was reasonable for how tough it is and how big it is. I think some buyers may be using it on carpet that has a thick soft pile and it is not meant for that and I can see that might cause it to crack. Also, the box came with a LARGE warning printed in red about opening the box and having it spring out and hurt you. We laid it on it's side, opened the ends and slit the corner of the box and it opened easily and no one was hurt and no damage to the mat. Choose the right mat for your type of carpet and it works !!
