not sure how to rate, I have broken 2 of these. If I break another one I will switch to aluminum or something else.

Very Sturdy
Great buy if you want something good but don't want to spend a lot. One of my bottle cages was broken and had to replace it. Very easy to install.

They are nylon, but there is not matte finish, kind of glossy.
