I actually installed this fireplace in the dining area of my apartment. I have gotten nothing but compliments to all who come by to visit.They all ask me where I got it from because they've never seen the stones in these units, just the fake wood lumber. HAHA.P.S., I'll never tell where I got it from, but I am 100% pleased with my purchase. She works beautifullyI purchased the 2nd one thinking it would have the amber fireplace glow, but it didn't. It has a yellowish/tan glow. I can get around it, as I have an adaptable nature. I just put that one under the large t.v. set cabinet directly under the t.v. The purpose is just to have the flicker going. I noticed that the price went down a few bucks, I guess that's the reason why. I do believe when it starts going on the wane and I have to put in a new backdrop flicker, I will request my electronics guy to put in one with the amber glow. I turn it on for the just the lighting, which is very nice. My pets are usually very calm and are mesmerized by the dancing flames, so it's a good thing as they are nocturnal and are more relaxed. There are 3 settings.......one which never heats up, so I don't have to worry about the wood from the cabinet ever getting warped from the heat. It is still a beautiful addition to my home. I haven't had guests over yet, but when they come over, I'm sure they will be dazzled that I purchased yet another one.

Choose this product for it's looks and I am very happy that I did. I thought the curved front would help hide the sides on the wall as we would be approaching it from the side when we entered the room, but it looks so nice on the floor I have decided to leave it there. Makes it look more like a real fireplace and I can put it away for the summer.It is quiet, and heats efficiently, but I failed to note it did not have a thermostat, therefore it is either on or off...low or high. This hasn't been a problem as I am using it in a large room as supplemental heating source, but might be a problem for others and is the reason for the four rating.New Info: Right after Christmas, flame effect started making noise. It quit for awhile so I thought everything was Ok....but it's not. The unit sounds like a jet plane on idle. It seems to be getting worse. Have not yet contacted seller, but plan to today.Jan 28, 2013. Contacted TZSeller and within hours had an email saying they are sending a new motor for the display. How great is that! Will update when we get the unit installed.

I heat my house with wood and have a wood stove (that has glass door) and a fireplace. For me there is no other way to get warm- real wood is the best. I built my man room by cutting off part of my garage and I have all the manly stuff one could want (big tv, bad ass music system, bar, reclining chair, etc...) so when my mother in law suggested that I put in an electric fireplace below the tv, I was really skeptical! She has really good instinct for style and decoration, and I trust her advice all the time. I settled on this electric fireplace mostly because of it's looks. Now that it's in, it's really pretty cool! It puts off good heat, and I would of given it 5 stars, but it is a little noisy. I think someone else reviewed that noise as "crackling", but it's not- it's the fan turning. The flames look fake, but, for what it is it's really cool.

PROS: The unit is attractive, flames are very realistic, Throws nice heat on both 750W and 1500W. Able to have unit on with flames while heat off. Appears solidly built. Easy to hang.CONS: With lights on in room the flames are a bit dim even on brightest setting. Fan is a bit noisey but tolerable. Heat is directed out of top along wall not outward. Need a ceiling fan in reverse to circulate air to be effective. remote control intermittently works. Manual controls difficult to acess if at chest level. Cord exits from top of unit (poor design). Generic brown box poorly packaged with rolled up blister pack creating huge buldge on side of box. Packing tape slopped all over with hole in the side. Embarrassed the way it presented as Chritmas gift.OTHER THOUGHTS: This unit appeared used. as a heater, just OK. As a converation piece, it is good

I bought this to go inside a bedroom. This is my first time seeing an electric fireplace. I decided to break this into pros / cons.PROS:-Soothing and semi realistic from 6+ feet away-Heater works decent in a smallish room-Easy to mount-Easy to operate-Black frame is niceCONS:-Humming noise while operating can be quite loud-Without a "crackle" type noise to go with it, it feels like somethings missing-Requires (obviously) being plugged in, which can be an issue if your ideal location isn't near an outlet-Remote control is terrible and rarely worksOverall, I bought this for my girlfriend and she seems to like it. She has it on a few nights a month. I think looking back a gel fuel would work better for us, but this is still a nice unit.

I like my litte fake fireplace. It warms a room nicely. I was not thrilled with the white rocks vs the natural stones as seen on the picture. I also did not receive a remote with the fireplace but they shipped one out quickly. I decided not to hang it on the wall because it is quite heavy and the wall mount doesn't seem very sturdy. When I received the package, my rocks had come loose and were all over the place. Luckily the glass was protected by plastic and wasn't scratched. The item was dusty and appearred to have sat in a dirty warehouse somewhere and it smelled like cigarettes. I couldn't wait to get rid of the nasty box!

Well, as the story goes, you get what you pay for. The appearance of this fireplace is nice. The flames are not bad for being electronic. The only complaint I have so far is the noise the motor makes when rotating the mirrors. I'm contacting the seller to see if I can get a replacement motor and fix myself. May change my tune if they send a replacement. The heater works well and puts out a fair amount of warmth. I would say try this unit but under cautious assumption that it might be all the motors that make this noise.

Heavy weight material used and quality tempered glass. real rocks too! and the selection of colours for flames and brightness. the 2 heat levels are sufficient, only thing lacking was a temperature setting, so be prepared to keep it on the low setting. other than that, Awesome and looks good for setting the mood in the bedroom. - overall a great product

Lov it best move i ever did

This fire place is dark orange. Not yellow and orange like the picture. Remote doesn’t work. Would not recommend! Do not buy!!!
