Bolt 7023539 Padlock for Toyota Keys

Great lock. Looks robust.

No extra key to keep. I am sure it is not the best security lock you can buy, but the fact I can program it to my Jeep is wonderful! Easy to program.

They look and feel sturdy but when I keyed the, for my Toyota I have to yank on it to unlatch, it used to pop open on its own, but now overtime I have to give it a good yank to open it once the key is in. Still works just not as smooth after sitting outside for a few weeks. Would definitely buy again though maybe just needs some lubrication.

I bought a whole set of these trailer locks and they all are very easy to program to your truck key. They seem well built.

Awesome idea. Got this lock as a cheap entry into the other locks that this company has to offer and was not sure if it would work with my 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor. Almost had a heart attack with first use. With the research I did before getting this I was fairly sure that it would work. Key was very difficult to get in and I almost gave up, but with a little patience and slowly working it into the lock it went all the way in and turned. The lock opened and I thought I was successful, except the key was now stuck in the lock. Shut the lock (figuring that maybe it needs to be shut to release the key, which I still do think this is how it operates) but it still did not want to release my key. After a few minutes of more patience and working the key in/out it finally released. The key had some heavy grease on it which I figure has a lot to do with how hard it is to get the key in and out, at first. After that I opened, closed, removed, wiped, inserted, over and over again. After about a dozen cycles inserting the key was a lot easier and after a dozen more removing the key was almost smooth. I feel that over time it will "loosen" up a bit and feel more normal, but it is fully functional with my Mitsubishi key and that made my day a lot better. I figure if you ever sell the vehicle any locks are keyed to then all locks would have to go with the new owner, or you would have to keep at least 1 key from it. That seems OK with me.

Lasted about a year outside before it started having issues. After that it had trouble opening, and closing until one day I had to pull on it so hard the shackle released from both sides. I could not get it back together and had to buy another one.

It's nice having a good lock that I can keep in my Jeep and use without having to have a spare key around. It's super simple to set it to use your vehicle key

Only taking off one star for this because there isn't a slightly smaller option available. The bolt itself works great, and is one less key I have to put on my keyring, which is the primary purpose of this thing. I purchased it to lock down a toolbox in the back of my 2015 GMC Sierra,  Undercover SC100D Black Swing Case Storage Box . However, it was just too large to be able to secure the box using the built in lock placement. So, currently it's sitting in the toolbox instead, ready to be used if I ever need it.

This is a great product, I have several Bolt locks now and have had no problems setting them up to work with my Jeep key.One key for everything!

Lock is excellent, only major thing to note: Lock comes with very vague instructions, on back of package so I can see how people have had issues pairing their vehicles key.>when performing the step of turning the key clockwise in the hole, you will have to force it fairly hard, and whatever you do don’t stop or turn backwards, the crunch sound of the internal lock barrels pairing the first time is normal, just keep going until the lock pops open, you will ruin the lock if you back off. It does feel a bit awkward like your going to break something, but that’s just how these pair the first time.After that lock will function and work just like normal padlocks do.
