Great hooks
Just arrive today, I haven't try yet but the quality seems great. These hooks are longer as pictured compared to Eagle Claws. Both are same size and mark "Aberdeen" on the package. I guess different companies has different designed even though its same size. Will update when I go fishing and see how its performance.

Captain Hook
Love this hook. I'm normally a bass fisherman but sometimes it's nice to take a break and catch a "mess o' bream". Crickets are a great bait for this and this hook is ideal for crickets - or worms for that matter. The long shank allows you to hook the cricket under their collar and down through the body. An additional benefit is that it helps to unhook the fish when it swallows the bait deep into its mouth.

bit weak wish it was stronger, but length is very important, keeps fish from swallowing it, allows my tool to get it out without much damage to the fish--

Tie Your Own
I used to buy snells (leaders with hooks attached) until the supply chain disruption left the shelves almost bare of the snells I wanted. Out of frustration, I decided to buy my own hooks so I searched Amazon for a gold hook that I thought was similar in size to my favorite snells. I came upon the Mustad 3261 Classic Cricket 4 Extra Long Shank Hooks and I bought a 20 pound leader and tied my own hooks. I just bought my second container of them and a friend just placed an order. I recommend them highly.

Work well for panfish
These should work just fine for panfish, still haven't had a chance to use them as the ice is still on the lake. Hard to buy boxes of hooks in our area. Thnaks
