I bought these as a present for my mom since she spends a lot of time out on her porch in the evenings. A full day's charge lasts almost two nights of constant use. The lights themselves aren't terrible bright, but they work great as night lights and are very pretty either way. Now, the jars aren't included (Which I originally assumed, but that was my mistake for not reading the product description) but they fit pretty much any mason jar you find except for the really big ones (Like the Quart sized mason jars). Fairly water proof, but I wouldn't leave them in direct rain for very long. Occasionally if you leave them on for too long, they won't turn on automatically for some reason. An easy fix is just to turn the switch off and then back on, or just make sure you turn them off when you're done with them.

These are super cool but unless you live in the desert you Must seal them somehow or water will get in and probably break them. I bought these after reading other reviews and knowing I'd have to do something to keep water out. One of mine stopped working within the first week and the switch inside was rusted irreparably because I hadn't sealed them completely on my first try. Slathered on some more silicone sealant and the other two are working well still (it's now been three weeks or so) despite the NW spring monsoon.

Great lights, I stuffed a few mason jars with decorative moss and then added these lights. Placed them by the window and in the evening they light up the bay windows. My only gripe is that the lights don't last very long, stays on for less than 2 hours from a full day's solar charge.

They leak lots of rain water THROUGH the modules - a DESIGN issue observed on 3 out of a pack or 3!
1) They inherently leak rainwater THROUGH the module, so they are useless outdoors without applying cleverness and labor to find a way to seal it yourself. The problem is NOT between the lid ring and the module (which I could have dealt with) but the module itself has an outer ring that is not sealed so rainwater - LOTS OF IT - leaks into the module itself and through it into my jar to accumulate. This occurred on all 3 out of 3 lights I got in a set, on the first storm after I set them up. The countermeasure I am trying is to cover the entire module with a layer of cling wrap before screwing the lid ring down. It works, but I do not yet know how weatherproof cling wrap is. The more durable the wrap, the more it will obscure solar charging probably too.2) 1 out of 8 (I bought another set of 5 before realizing the leaking problem) has a bad switch and needs to be turned off and on to reset. Every time I have to do it, I have to redo the waterproofing fix for (1). So this one is not usable at all to me.The only reason I did not give 1 star is these are so cheap. But I got what I paid for.

Follow up: New ones are great!
Edit:The seller did follow through on his promise to send new one. So far they work as advertised, and as other people have noticed. Therefore I change my rating to 5. I changed it not only because they work better, but also because it is uncommon for sellers to care enough after the sale these days. Not only did they contact me about my problem, they followed up with the new ones. Well done. Would purchase more items from this seller. The lights do not stay lit for more than 5 minutes. I even went out and bought brand new rechargeable batteries in thinking they were old/bad. It did not help. One of the lights does turn off in the day, the other two work and don't work when they want to.The seller did message me a few days after purchase, stating that they had issues with the solar panels and that they would be sending me new units. This never happened. Who knows why.

Great set of lights!
For LED solar lights, these are really bright. I love the way they look hung under a tree. The bad thing is that it doesn't get much light being hung under a tree (since it IS solar...) so I have to keep it off my tree to charge until I'm ready to use it. Not the product's fault but worth mentioning if you wanted to use this the same way I did. I would purchase again. In fact, I may purchase more for some holiday decorating :)The light quality is pretty great too. It's not distractingly bright, just a nice warm light to accent the environment. I have 12 in my backyard. It's not enough to light up the whole yard but paired with some additional string lighting, it could be very romantic.

The concept is really cool but they do not stay charged for long
The concept is really cool but they do not stay charged for long, especially on the short winter days. And it has to be pretty dark in the room for the light to turn on. I thought it was broken at first. I want to love these, but I just can't.

Pretty - but nobody tells you the lights only turn on when the solar cell is in the dark...
Clever replacement for a mason jar top, a solar cell charges a (rechargeable) battery, and turns on a small string of 'fairy lights' when the solar cell detects it is dark outside. Giving this 3-pack only four stars because one of the three pieces received was defective.
