American Apparel Men's Flex Fleece Long Sleeve Zip Hoodie

I've owned other American Apparel hoodies in the past, but the sizing never seemed to be very consistent; one x-small hoodie was larger than another x-small of the same model. So, I left AA hoodies alone. After many years of mostly buying the hoodies you can find at a certain department store for about 10 bucks, I decided to give AA another try.When I received this hoodie, I immediately noticed how friggin' soft it is! I would sleep on this! The fabric is somewhat thick, which means it does well during the fall months and is perfect for winter layering; but it's not too thick for spring and generally cool environments. I bought an XS in black and, as a 5'3" (~162 cm), muscular-armed person, there is still room beneath to fit a sweatshirt or sweater and not feel crowded.The only issue I've had with this hoodie so far -- and it's an issue I've noticed with their other hoodies as well -- is with the stitching on the pockets. It doesn't seem to take much force to pull the stitching at the bottom outside edge of the pocket loose, causing it to flap a bit. It hasn't detached so much that I can no longer use it, but it is annoying.Overall, with the one reservation in mind, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase more in other colors. Maybe I'll sew them all together and make the hoodie blanket I've been dreaming of.

My boyfriend loves it. He likes to show off his tshirt collection so he wears hoodies all winter. The color is interesting. Earthy clay color. Looks great with the white contrast. We love American Apparel. So soft. Runs a hair small. He’s 6’4” 180lbs. I got a large and it fits good. Could have gone xl.

Last year, I bought 1 (gray), then loved it so much I bought 2 more (blue, red). Since I wear them almost every day during the fall, winter and spring, I went ahead and bought another 2 for this season 2020-2021 (green, cranberry). These hoodies are comfortable, stylish, fit great, hold up well to abuse, not too heavy and not too light, perfect for every informal occasion. If I could give this more than 5 stars, I would.

I love how soft and comfortable this hoodie is. The color is a nice charcoal, too. The quality of the stitching is where it falls a little short. There are several spots where there are long bits of surging threads hanging out beyond the seams. One of the pockets is not completely sewn on, also. It will be a quick fix with a few stitches, but annoying that I have to sew a brand new sweatshirt back together. I would still recommend this hoodie because of how soft and comfortable it is. Something to note is that the inside shed horribly even after the first wash. I had to wash it inside out three times before it stopped shedding all over my T-shirts.

Runs a little small, so I purchased an XL when I normally wear a L. I saw others pointing out the country of origin as an indication of quality. Mine was made in El Salvador. It's soft, warm and fits pretty well. If that changes after washing/wearing I'll update my rating. I am 6'2" and 167lb. I needed an XL.

I like the soft material/feeling of the sweater. It’s lightweight. Sweater is not thick nor think, just right. Color looks great. Recommend for price point. decent quality.

Its hard enough not finding clothes for smaller or thinner men. I wished more apparel brands, companies, or retailers make/sell clothes for smaller guys. The Extra Small fits me perfect surprisingly, whereas a regular Small doesn't. I don't wanna have to shop for clothes in the boys section, talk about embarrassing. But, nonetheless, I'm satisfied with my purchase and this hoodie. Most hoodies I found were $30-40, I wanted nothing special, but something more affordable.

I bought this hoodie because I had an older American apparel hoodie that I absolutely love and wanted another one in the heather grey color. I read reviews saying that the quality wasn’t as good as it used to be, but it was relatively cheap so I decided to try it out anyways. The reviews were right. The outside of the hoodie isn’t as soft and flexible as my old hoodie and the zipper is really stiff so it’s super hard to zip up sometimes. I hope the zipper gets easier to zip as i wear this more often. The hood is also kinda big and has a bit of a point to the top. It’s just overall a lesser quality hoodie than the one I got from the American apparel store. It’s sad to see that I can’t go and buy these hoodies from the actual store anymore, but the heather grey hoodie I got from here was pretty cheap (like less than $15) so I guess you get what you pay for. It’s not a bad hoodie. Still comfy and fits, but definitely not my favorite. The inside is relatively soft, but I probably wouldn’t recommend buying if the hoodie was more than $15-20.
