INVINCIBLE!!!
This unit is unbelievable! My pedal seemed to be welded on. While trying to remove it I ruined my quality 15mm cresent wrench. I even removed the crank from my bike and put it in my vise in attempts to remove the pedal. All I wound up doing was gouge my knuckles on the chainring. I even took a hammer to my wrench, still to no avail. I started reading reviews on various pedal wrenches. I narrowed my choices down to the Pedro Equalizer and the Park pw-4. I selected the Park since it was a bit heavier and had the choice of two angles. The PW-4 arrived today. The first angle I chose wasn't just right. I could have probably removed the pedal but, it was just too close to the crank arm for the best leverage. I used the other angle and my pedal turned off like a hot knife through butter! I just couldn't believe how easily the pedal screwed off! The Pedro (Pedro's 15mm Equalizer Pro Pedal Wrench) probably could have got the pedal off as well but, why not have the choice of the two angles? It just makes things easier. I don't think you can go wrong with the Park pw-4. All the bike shops I've visited seem to use Park tools. I haven't been to any in this area that use Pedro's (I'm not saying no professional bike repairman use Pedro's. Nor am I saying that Pedro's is of an inferior quality. It just seems as though, around here, they use Park tools). Anyways, get whichever you choose (Pedro's or Park), they both appear to be high quality tools. But I can vouch to the fact that the Park pw-4 works great and really impressed me! A great investment! Again, why not have the option of the two angles?

AMAZING for stuck pedals
I have been a happy amazon customer for several years and I don't think I've ever written a review before. I got an older used bike for a great deal, I honestly didn't know anything about bikes before I got it. I actually got the bike to learn how to ride a bike. I'm 24, wasn't able to learn as a kid. Anyways I went to take the pedals off it and I manged to get one off with enormous effort but the second one wouldn't budge, tried for an hour to get it lose, nothing. With this wrench that pedal came off immediately as soon as I got the right angle. This wrench is expensive but it's worth every penny. It's extremely sturdy too, I'm pretty sure it will last me for the rest of my life

Great Tool...Did the Trick!!
This pedal wrench did what I needed it to do...loosen the pedals effectively. Takes a little getting used to in finding the best "mechanical" positioning. Once you figure that out (and each bike/pedal positioning is different), it works like a charm. The two different slots give you better options for leverage based on the pedals position. This tool allowed me to remove/swap out pedals on several bikes...including those with "seized" pedals. Glad I got this one instead of the PW-3 or PW-5.

This is the one to get...
Some of the "lower-star reviews" pick at the price. Agree; it's a bit expensive for a pedal wrench, but let's be realistic. Quality costs. This is indeed a shop-grade tool. Buy it once, use it for life. It doesn't have a fine finish but it's effective and durable. I bought this tool to address a left-hand pedal that was stuck in a carbon crank...at least "stuck" from my Craftsman 15mm box wrench's perspective. In 30+ years of cycling, I'd never had a pedal this badly stuck. Over the course of several days, I soaked the threads with Kroil then, at various intervals, tried freeing the pedal by smacking the box wrench with a rubber dead-blow mallet...hard enough and often enough that I became concerned I might accidentally damage the crank...and to no effect. Obviously, no torch heat as that would could damage the carbon matrix...the nature of the materials necessitated only chemical and mechanical methods for freeing the pedal. Once I put this wrench to task, the otherwise hopelessly stuck pedal was free in less than 10 seconds. Nice.

Great tool. Multiple purposes.
I bought this wrench after finding it impossible to remove the pedals from my bicycle with conventional tools. I became so frustrated that I decided to spend $32 on a single wrench. This tool got the job done! A little WD-40 in the threads, crank in a vise, and this beautiful hunk of metal combined to easily break the torque on the pedals that were likely installed by the gorilla on the Gorilla Glue bottle. The head is very thin (>1/4") and will easily fit where you need it too. Don't let that fool you. This thing is unreasonably strong. I don't think you could break it if you tried. The large, rounded handle allowed me to apply a huge amount of torque in a very comfortable manner. The double opening on the head makes it easy to get the right angle.Of course, the uses don't stop at the bicycle. This 15mm wrench is also the perfect tool for disengaging the tensioner pulley on my 2001 Ford Taurus. It would also be a formidable weapon in any sort of melee invasion (zombies, armless aliens, migrant workers.) As soon as I get it back from my friend, it's going straight under my pillow.

For professionals and amateurs alike
My old cycling buddy was visiting from Italy for Christmas and I gave him my old park Tool PW4. He was thrilled but I was left with a dilemma. Should I buy the same thing again or maybe the Lezyne with the wooden handle and bottle opener? In the end I bought a new PW4 and don't regret it for a second. If you've ever had an issue with a substandard pedal wrench, this is the solution. The grip feels just right. The weight, length of the handle, angle of the openings and quality of the metal allow you to remove difficult pedals without risking the skin on your knuckles.I did find it a bit amusing that someone had lowered their rating because the wrench had scratches from new. The matte black finish will mark if you rub your fingernail on it. If that's what one must endure to have superior functionality, so be it. That other guy should have bought the Lezyne, used it to pop open a cold one and chill.
